Well damn! That was awesome. The producers learn their lesson and learned it well, giving us a season finale that delivered everything I could want and NO FREAKING CLIFFHANGER! Not sure who has seen it yet since it was on opposite WM, the world's longest wrestling show, so I'll save specific comments for later. Don't want to spoil anything. I'm ready for the war. I have seen it. It was very good.

How can it be possible that I was surpised during the casket scene? In a show that usually features tons of zombies, that reveal took me completely off guard.

Great episode. I think Sasha would've been double crossed if she would've joined Negan.
Did any one else cringe when Jadis said to Michonne "I lay with him after. You care?"
After the fracas had ended, Daryl scaled a wall to take a look. Did I notice dynamite & wires on top of the wall?

You guys think by the end of next season Negan will be in the jail cell Morgan built? Yes. I see them blowing through All Out War in one season, pretty much busted down to a trade per half season. Then next season starts after the war.

Wasn't sure what to expect with the finale, and I'm glad no one important died. Sasha has been a waste of space for a while, and I was hoping Eugene would get offed. I could see the war lasting till the mid season finale.

What kind of deal did Jadis & Negan make?

What kind of deal did Jadis & Negan make? He's going to give her 10 new metal cat sculpters. Probably. Finale as a whole was alright. Kinda figured the Garbage Pail Kids were gonna turn heel. LOL for them actually arriving in garbage trucks. Yay for Sasha finally dying - but Rosita lives on, so, eh. Wish Negan could've smashed someone's skull. Sad my hopes for a Eugene swerve didn't pan out... yet. Thought for a second when Darryl climbed on top of the truck at the end and the camera focused on him, he might eat a bullet through the head.

Garbage Pail Kids went full ing Arnie asking for 10 people. Like what a ridiculous reason to heel turn. "We're gunna win, doot doot doot." No b*tch, you have the mental capacity of a turkey. Too bad you don't have wings. Solid episode. I loved Rick. I was missing that Rick. I loved him getting up in Negan's face. Negan has confidence through his army. Sure, he does what it takes to keep them in line, but that's a fraction of the animal that lives inside Rick imo. So I like when Rick lets the beast come out, even just a little bit. The Sasha moment was great. Shiva also made the most of her screen time. I like what's happening with the Kingdom/Carol/Morgan/Ezekiel. I'm guessing they keep building Carol/Ezekiel in the fashion of Michonne/Ezekiel from the books. Regardless, cool ending, but everyone major escaping from the opposition was a bit of a cop out to save dramatics for next season. This was a one episode season for me. The first episode was absolutely amazing and the rest was goodish to meh. I think we've spent the entire season waiting for it to get really good, and it was right there on the edge, and it just never went to that place for me personally.

A few days have passed so I feel safe talking about the season finale in depth now. If you haven't seen it yet, stop reading now.
- The Scavengers: I'm actually very happy to see them turn on Rick and get their asses kicked. I was never a fan of the Mad Max rejects and won't miss them.
- Sasha: If you're gonna go, that was a pretty epic way to do it but I think there is a little too much value being placed on her sacrifice. It really amounted to diddly squat because after walker-Sasha attacked Negan, the Saviors won the fight and were about to kill Carl. It was the appearance of the Kingdom and Hilltop people that saved the day. In the end, Sasha's sacrifice was irrelevant.
- Shiva: AWESOME! Been waiting all season to see some tiger action.
- Michonne: It's official now, Michonne on TV has become Andrea from the comics. She got to play Andrea's role in the tower and deliver the punch line to the entire battle. They've (re)written her well but I'm still sad we won't get to see the Michonne/Ezekiel romance on TV. I'm hoping Carol fills that role next season.
- Eugene: I love how they are writing him. Fact is, Eugene has survived by attaching himself to the most powerful person (Abe, then Rick, and now Negan) and making himself valuable. It makes sense for him to work for Negan because that is the best chance for his continued survival. It should make for some great interactions if/when he flips again as Rick's group gains the upper hand.
- Daryl/Dwight: I want to see more of these two on screen together. They have great chemistry.

I jumped out my seat when Shiva attacked and saved Carl, one of my favourite moments in the whole series. I loved the way Eugene explained to Negan at the end how Sasha died. Shows he is using his intelligence to survive rather than the skills the rest of the group has. Maggie' speach at the end was a lovely tribute to Glenn, almost shed a tear watching it. Set episode set the next season up nicely. A small cliffhanger with the 'didn't know' message. I only started watching this season so it's the first time I'm having to wait a few months for some walking dead action.

Did they say where Gregory went? Did I miss something 2 weeks ago? He was last seen making plans to travel to the Sanctuary, presumably to lobby Simon to handle his Maggie problem.

Back in S6 when he was introduced to Daryl in the woods (pre face iron) he had a similar chess piece, then it was shown again in Dwights room in the Sanctuary when Daryl was hiding out before he escaped. Should be good to see their relationship evolve, as they're basically making Dwight a Daryl 2.0!

Sorry to bump but I realised I didn't comment since the return...I did watch and then rewatched with my brother - eager to see how All Out War goes down.
Watching it has reignited my interest in revisiting the comics again.

One of these days, I'll figure out why I keep watching FTWD. I guess the mini Deadwood reunion is sorta worth it right now. And Alicia.
At least both Chris & Travis are dead now.

One of these days, I'll figure out why I keep watching FTWD. I guess the mini Deadwood reunion is sorta worth it right now. And Alicia. At least both Chris & Travis are dead now. FTWD hasn't grabbed me like TWD. It's too similar in that we are following a small group of survivors who get separated and back together while fighting other survivor groups. I said from the start that they would have to do something different from TWD for it to stand on its own and they haven't. Strand from season one is about the only character I liked and he has been pussified more and more to the point I actually hoped he did get dropped off the dam in the last episode. I see the show losing steam and either doing a series finale that kills off everybody in dramatic fashion OR they kill all but a few characters (hopefully they develop a few interesting ones) who jump over to The Walking Dead after having traveled cross country for two years. There is a precedent for the latter that comic readers will recognize from the post "All Out War" storyline.
