My gut feeling tells me that the rumored CM Punk versus The Rock match for the WWE Championship will close out the Royal Rumble PPV which will result in the 30-man Royal Rumble match to be the next-to-last match. Your thoughts?

No. Royal Rumble will be last, its too long of a match and the crowd will be dead after it which would mean if Punk/Rock put on a classic it would suck because the crowds not into it.

If that happens I will be pretty pissed. They did that on the 2006 rumble so Taker could make the ring collapse and to be truthful the rumble didn't feel as special.

I hope the Rumble goes on last. That said, I'd rather it go on before Rock/ Cena and actually be a good match with a natural flow. The last Rumble was one long comedy skit/ spot fest.

I've always believed the Royal Rumble should go on last. The 2006 Royal Rumble only went on before the Main Event because of the Kurt Angle/Undertaker segment where the ring collapsed. I think even with Punk/Rock, it'll still go on last.

I think it will only go on last because Cena is going to win. So Rock will most likely beat Punk, or their will be some kind of swerve which will lead to a Punk vs Rock rematch, and then Cena will win the Rumble to set up either Rock vs Cena II or Cena vs Rock vs Punk.
I don't think the Rumble is a big deal anymore. Like I can't remember the last time a guy won the Royal Rumble and I was actually excited. The finish to Taker winning was main event worthy, but it's probably been since Chris Benoit where I thought the Rumble felt like a big deal. Where a guy used the Rumble to launch himself. Sheamus and ADR fell particularly flat for me. If the winner isn't going to feel like a big deal, and WWE isn't going to put that guy in the main event of WrestleMania, then why should it go on last? Rock vs Punk is bigger than the Rumble match imo, by a country mile, and I have no problem with it going on last, but I don't think it will.

Since I anticipate Austin returning and winning, the Rumble will go on last.

Well, it did happen in 1996, 1997, 1998, & 2006. Two of those matches featured Shawn Michaels.

I want the Rumble to go on last for sure, but I have a feeling they're going to have Rock main event the event.

When ever the Rumble isn't the last match, I don't even watch the matches afterwards, because I only watch for the Rumble match.

It's not outlandish in the least. WWE has been pushing Punk and Austin hard through the WWE '13 promotion and they aren't just doing it for kicks. It's either happening this year or next, and if it happens this year, then you obviously have Punk retain and have Austin win the Rumble. I can't even imagine the pop for the glass shattering.

They're not doing it because Austin's just had really serious knee surgery and wouldn't be ready for Wrestlemania let alone winning the Royal Rumble
