Hey guys! With Christmas coming soon, I wanted to ask all of you guys a question about figure opening.
What way do you guy open your figures up?
Any particular side, or technique?
Only asking this, as I have a strange tendency to always do it from the right side of the figure. Also just a thread for any of you guys to share your techniques!

If it's basic, I just rip the bubble off the carding, starting at a top corner. If it's elite, I cut the 2 pieces of tape on the slanted side and pop out the tabs. Then I slide the bubble out, take the figure out, slide the bubble back in and close the box back up, and finally throw it out.

Basics - Take a razor blade around the entire base of the bubble and keep the carding.

Either side is ok as long as you cut the two pieces of tape first.

I punch the packaging until it creases and then pull where it is bent...

I don't save basic packages so it just becomes a rip and throw out thing for those. I open my Elites from the right hand side though and then return the tray and any tray component (t shirt trays) back to the box and stack them in my closet.

For Elites I cut the tape on the left side of the package and just open the flaps. For Basics I just cut the sides and bottom of the plastic bubble since I keep the card and bubble for when I put the figures away

I rip them open quick and throw the box out no need for being nice about it. I only keep MOC legends who I know will never return do to death or age.

Glad im not the only one! That's exactly what I do. I don't understand why I always open elites from the right side. I just truly don't understand. It's always a habit. For me it was just luck of the draw. The first one i opened was on the right side and then my OCD kicked in and it's been the right side ever since. |

I dont know which side I open Elites from, but I just cut the tape on 1 side with my pocket knife.
Basics I open from the back. That plastic piece that curls up on the bottom... I peel that off first... and then I open it around the bubble.
