Owen was never going to be champion. Deal with it.

Mr. Perfect in his prime...nobody was more talented or had more charisma. Obviously injuries and his drug use took a toll on him. But I don't think people realize how crazy talented he was. No question. I had actually heard that they wanted to put the strap on Hennig in 90/91 and Hogan wanted no part of it. So yeah I voted for Perfect. Next I'd say either Piper or Razor Ramon. And I think Razor was planned had he not f'd that up.

I went with William Regal. I was born in '94, so I couldn't really tell you a whole lot about Ramon/Perfect/Piper's primes first hand. I just went with Regal because he was more than ready when he won King of the Ring. I would have chosen Kennedy, because I was a huge fan of his, but he was very injury prone.

I gotta go with Mr. Perfect. He would've been a phenomenal WWF Champion.

I'm genuinely shocked at the number of Piper votes. I thought for sure that Curt Hennig would have the highest amount of votes.
And The Bulldog only has 1!

Has to be Piper. No one on that list was as over as him.

Def Piper.
Owens shot was in 94. He was never going to come close to the title 99 on if he hadn't passed.
And lol at Morrison having 7 votes

Dibiase and Piper had perfect opportunities, but the title scene was crippled by Hogan. Such a shame. I'd go with them, as well as Perfect and Scott Hall.

Piper should have had the title going into Wrestlemania 1 or 2 and should have main evented against Hogan, where Hulk could have gotten his title back.
Dibiase should have gotten to keep the title that he bought from Andre.
Owen should have taken the title from Bret in 94 instead of Bob Backlund
I would have liked to have seen Rude take the title from Warrior instead of Slaughter
Perfect could have had the title back when he and the Genius were feuding with Hogan or he and Bret could have had some title matches when Bret had his first run

None of them. In the 80s, the titles never changed as often as they do now. Dibiase, Perfect, Jake, Piper etc were never better choices than the guys who did hold the title.

Morrison doesn't need to be on the list, he that's young he could come back to the WWE and win the belt. (:

Tough choice between Piper and Perfect. Went with Piper. He should've been the one to take the title off of Backlund and then carry it to WM1 and lose it to Hogan.
