Anybody else slightly worried that 2K might not do as good a job as THQ has done? Since WWE '12, I've been very happy with what THQ has thrown out - gameplay is a lot more enjoyable and the online community creations has been a great addition. However there's no doubting WWE '13 has had it's faults, which is a shame as it had the potential to be amazing. Universe Mode, if done correctly, could be incredible. It needs more storylines and a more realistic and intelligent way of booking. Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena singles match on every Raw culminating in a PPV singles match gets boring quickly. At times, though, it's great and provides the odd moment of magic. Then that leaves the lackluster online. Servers are awful. Matches are hard to find and are always laggy. Again, like Universe Mode, the online mode gets frustrating and boring which leaves the game with little re-play value. I'm really hoping that 2K can take everything THQ didn't quite get right (Universe mode and online play) and get it all on point and produce a WWE game that has the re-play value of a Fifa, Madden or COD title. The potential is certainly there. However I'm a little worried that we might end up worse off without THQ, despite all of our constant complaints and gripes about their games. Time will only tell and I'm buzzing to see what 2K pull out the bag. I have high hopes as their a credible company and have a good track record, with sports titles especially (I class WWE games as sports titles). Fingers crossed! 2K is still working with Yukes and has hired on at least most of the key players from THQ in regards to the WWE games. So I don't think there's too much to worry about. I think there would only be cause for that if they were to start from scratch--which, as we already know, they're not. I can see 2K14 being most of what THQ was working on to begin with, but I feel 2K15 will be completely different as I can see them wanting to try things there way, which could be a good or bad thing. |

2K is still working with Yukes and has hired on at least most of the key players from THQ in regards to the WWE games. So I don't think there's too much to worry about. I think there would only be cause for that if they were to start from scratch--which, as we already know, they're not. It gets even more interesting when you consider the rumors are working on a new engine for Next Gen systems, rumor fuled by the fact that Yukes are confirmed to be in possession of a PS4 devkit.  Anyway, it actually seems like the majority of fans are finally going to get what they wanted for a long long time. A WWE game that feels barnd new. And I for one am excited. Also did anybody hear anything about Martha Hart's lawsuit finally getting resolved? Although I am not found of it, it's probably a wise move.
Hopefully they have a couple other guys on their with him. Cena and Punk to his sides would be cool.

Can't say I mind having Rock back on the cover. We got Punk this past year, so it's all good. Makes sense with him being WWE Champion heading into WrestleMania too--no doubt he's been a huge part of the last year, regardless of the frequency (or lack thereof) of his appearances.

Yeah makes a lot of sense for the Rock to be on the cover seeing how big of a star he is. Great choice.

It would be cool if the WWE Championship in the game had speical side-plates for winners.
Brahma Bull if Rock is champion, Cena logos if Cena is champion and a bunch of made up ones using existing logos? or if it will just be default WWE logo.
