I'm building Luigi's right now. I'm wondering if I need to fork over the cash for Lugash's gym too. I can't say I'm a fan of Lugash, but he completes the business owner's set and I like having complete sets whenever I can.

Well, I forked over the $15 for Lugash. I can't stand not having a complete set. It drives me nuts. I know there are sets like the whacking day set that I'll never own because I wasn't even playing the game then. I'm fine w/that. It's the sets that I can't complete that currently annoy me. Shawna is part of the toughie's set but because I hadn't even started playing the game in Valentine's Day that's a set I'll never be able to complete. Annoying.
Being asked to build the jail now. Now freaking clue at all where to put it. Might have to re-arrange the house farm. I have a feeling that once I get level 32 and save some money up to buy some land expansions that I'll be doing some serious re-organizations.

I'm level 32 and haven't had trouble having money to buy stuff in like 17 levels. I have one (or two, that's just a couple) of every single house, every single business that's bought with money, all the premium characters (& some premium buildings), the escalator to nowhere, and over $1 million in my bank.

Well, you've got some secret that I don't know for sure. I'm being asked to build Skip's Diner (35k I think) and the prison ($40k) I don't have the money for either. With the house farm I can get $30-40k a day so I can save up for it. I'm level 20 and I'm feeling pinched for cash. I get a quest to build a building, then I sit and wait to scrape up the cash. Usually I get quests to build two different buildings and have to decide which one to build first.

I probably will one day but for now I will stick with my 2 donuts for a level up which I accidentally spend on quickening a brown house pay off.

You can turn on "confirm donut spend" I highly recommend that everyone do so. I accidentally burned donuts to get $500 in cash.

Well, I officially got sick of Springfield Downs. The breaking point was when I started building the prison and found that the prison is like a quarter of the footprint of the Downs. Just dumb. The building is entirely too big for it contributing absolutely nothing. So I stuck it in inventory and it's dead to me. I'll whip it out when I need it. That philosophy has carried me through other areas of life. Why not here as well?

Storing a load of building in the inventory, trying to deicide where I want everything. Any ideas? I've seen your town. It looks like everything is just piled on everything else. Spread it out a little bit. To me you can either place all your buildings the way you like them and then place your roads appropriately or you can go the other way and lay out your road system and then place your buildings. Historically, towns have been built both ways. Pre-planned towns normally built the latter way. If you go through a town that makes no sense with roads laid out in bizarre fashions it's probably built the former way. BTW - is the Rich Texan worth it? I really want to get him. Every time I see him and tap on him he cracks me up. "I don't have any health insurance!!"

Erm I bought 10000 donuts for two pound, so I bought all available characters with it lol, personally, I think he's al right. But I see characters as characters, and if I make more money from them, then I make more money lol.

I just built piece 15 of the boardwalk and the next piece (and the next 15) take 36 hours to build. Build time goes up after that. I'm only 10% done (151 pieces total I'm told). I can see how this can take 7-8 months to finish. I guess I'll let you all know in February when I'm done.

Yeah, I'm not building the entire thing. I did enough to complete the missions and unlock the additional quests/buildings. If it's needed again later, then we can talk.
In the mean time, just completed building Sir Putts Alot. The cost doesn't bother me so much, when I take into account getting two characters out of it. I think the next time I have everyone completed at the same time, I'm going to set everyone up for 24 hour tasks just to see how much money it generates.

Yea I gave up on the boardwalk after all the building quests were finished. I've seen some people's towns that have these massive boardwalks, they must have spent a ton of money/donuts on it.
I'm thinking about spending a little money for Kamp Krusty but right now I'm saving for the mental hospital.

Is Crypto Barn the last building boardwalk? If so I might just get a few more to make it less cramped and leave it there.
For some reason my Anges Skinner quest isn't continuing. I checked the walkthrough and it says she should date Comic Book Guy. I got both free but nothing is popping up.

Do they go to a specific restaurant that maybe hasn't been built yet?

I think the next time I have everyone completed at the same time, I'm going to set everyone up for 24 hour tasks just to see how much money it generates. It actually generates less money that way. The more often you tap, the more money you make. If you run just the 45 sec tasks, you can earn $180 an hour off each character doing them. But you're tapping constantly at that point. This compared to the 24hr tasks that earn what? $600? You can run 9 1 hr tasks and earn more than that. I just got a task where Wiggum has to collect bribes 3 times so I had bring Springfield downs out of storage and re-arrange stuff just so I can have a place to put it. How I loathe Springfield Downs. I think I will build the entire thing eventually. I don't have the financial resources to focus on building it right now. I'm being asked to build King Toots and I'm sure I'll be asked to build the Town Hall once Wiggum gets done collecting bribes so I have to save up for that. I think once I get the Town Hall built that I'll drop the $5 on the Rich Texan. He really does crack me up every time I tap him in someone's town. Hearing him go on about seatbelt wearing cowards makes me smile. He's got a task at town hall though so I need it first.
