Changed the business is spot on, in my opinion. Every week we have to listen to crap about Tout/Twitter/Youtube/trends/social media/WWE Active/WWE polls and it all started with the Ryder Revolution. That was when WWE realised that even a guy who (in their mind) was as irrelevant as Zack Ryder could use the tool to get over. Then they went all out. As a matter of fact, WWE now care more about external activities such as social media than they do on the quality of their own product, in my opinion.

I think it pisses off WWE management how well Zack got himself over, against all odds. I totally agree with him.

I agree with Zack and kind of upset about because due to him getting over on the Internet, we now have all this trending tout crap clogging up airtime every Monday night...

The social media crap doesn't bother me. Zack Ryder will always be WWE's most tragic tale.

For the first time ever, HEELRyan is wrong. Milestone.

For the first time ever, HEELRyan is wrong. Milestone. No, I'm not. Nor can I be right as it's a matter of opinion and how you look at it. Before Z!TLIS, WWE had already dabbled into the realm of social media. And with it being a huge part of today's society and WWE trying to fit in with popular culture, the pairing was bound to happen with Ryder's help or not. Ryder may have helped fasten the process, but he didn't "change the business." And I don't believe he should take full credit for social media's impact on the WWE.

He makes some very good points. I do think he got himself way over and WWE didn't want it to continue so they edited some of his shows. I have a feeling if he didn't sign the show over he woulda been unemployed though.

Delusional idiot. I've watched a few episodes of his show and all he does is bitch about not being featured.
Moron should be happy he even has a job with WWE.

Didn't Ryder say before that he isn't even apart of any meetings regarding social media?

It's a double-edged sword:
If he hadn't agreed to do his show for their Youtube page, they would've most likely made him stop doing it completely anyways. Either way he was going to have to do things their way and he should've known that. You can't do something under the WWE umbrella that gets you noticed and NOT have them stick their greedy fingers all over it.

I have to agree that Zack Ryder is probably the main reason why WWE is so into social media now... Twitter, Facebook and then Tout.... Many superstars now even have YouTube channels to keep up with their gimmick... Zeb and Swagger comes to mind being the most recent ones in this YouTube frenzy. I think if it weren't for Zack Ryder becoming famous because of his YouTube channel, WWE will not be in this social media craze they are in right now.
I may be wrong, but I believe Zack Ryder's original YouTube channel was not even endorsed by the WWE... It was only when he got the push from the company, did the WWE have a channel for Zack Ryder within WWE's YouTube page....

WWE is probably super into social media because social media is really popular, you can't really turn on the TV without seeing a show that doesn't have at least a hashtag somewhere on the screen at some point during the show.
