I dont feel bad for him. The guy is famous enough now where people take pictures of him and post them all over the internet. He has people talking about him(this thread is a perfect example), Compared to the jobbers and other guys that fell off the face of the earth in the 90's, I think Virgil is doing pretty good for himself. I have to admit i did laugh after checking out the site, but I did not feel bad for the guy. He never had a great career and he is finding a way to remain relevant, or at least talked about. Maybe he has a good sense of humor and can see the positive side to the situation. It made me remember Virgil and if I saw him at a show I would ask for a pic.

Great now we'll have 4 pages of arm chair activists complaining about how sad this is and anybody who laughs at it (it's ing funny) should be ashamed, and WWE should give him a job and blah blah blah.....

How is this sad? No one is making him go out there and sit all alone. He chooses to keep setting up shop at various events, knowing damn well he isn't a big draw. This is what he chooses to do.

Sam Roberts is the one who started the website. Hes a producer for a popular radio show called Opie and Anthony on Sirius XM Satellite Radio. There is actual audio on Youtube where they talk about Virgil.

I got a pic with Virgil & Ted Dibiase a couple years ago at the San Diego Comic Con. He's an ok dude. My only question is why would someone pay to set up a site that basically has pics of a guy sitting by himself? Seems like whoever put this site together has too much time on their hands & really doesn't know what to do with their money, LOL kimjongunlookingatthings.tumblr.com/

I met Virgil as far back as July 2003 on the Wildwood Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ, while on vacation with family.
He was lonely then.
It must have been the sheer randomness of the occasion (finding shade in an open booth of 80's wrestling nostalgia on a sweltering hot summer's day) that somehow made it feel appropriate to be meeting Virgil in such conditions, but I have no bad things to say about him.
I got to meet a former wrestler unexpectedly while on vacation and walked away with a signed 8x10 promo.
Virgil walked away with $15 and (presumably) a peaceful, uninterrupted midsummer's evening on the Wildwood Boardwalk with thoughts of candy cane wrestling tights and fans of cash running through his mind.
(Again, presumably)

well I think part of the reason he is so lonely is because of the amount he charges for an auto. I went to an indy show that included Powers of Pain,Raven,Shane Douglas, Tommy Dreamer, and Balls Mahoney. They all charged $10 each. Virgil was not even advertised but was there and was selling his pics for $20/$25. Of course hardly anyone bought. I felt bad also but if you had to choose between Virgil and say Raven AND Dreamer, I dont think many would go with Virgil. BTW he did have a real nice pic of the survivor series team of him,Piper,Bret,Bulldog

People's obsession with Virgil nowadays is very bizarre.
