Anyone else interested in it? I've always been terrified of it. Pretty much one of the main reasons why I am afraid to fly overseas. Lol
Seeing as though we have only discovered what, half a percent of it? So scary just thinking about what is down there. It's crazy how we spend so much time trying to learn more about other planets when we really don't even know what the hell is going on within our own.
Thought this would make for an awesome thread.

The ocean, to me, is one of the single most terrifying things imaginable. The fact that we've explored so little of it and are already keenly aware of thousands of species is horrifying. I can't (and quite frankly, don't) want to imagine what's way down there. We're talking about creatures that sustain, and even thrive, in total darkness and unbelievable amounts of pressure. As terrifying as it is, it's also, like you said, immensely interesting.

It's one of the world's most dangerous places. If you end up stranded in a rubber boat you have no way of telling where you're going if you're untrained in addition to not being able to steer, no food unless you can catch wild fish, no drinkable water unless you can filter it, no protection from weather, ...
And God knows what the hell lives under the surface.

Not afraid at all. Fascinated by it in fact. I would love to do a Nautilus type tour if such a thing even existed.

The thought of what type of creatures live down there make's me want to micturate. If you know what I mean. Thinking or observing those things in their natural habitat make's me pretty fidgety and extremely nervous down to the core.

I love that kind of stuff. It amazes me what kinds of animals are down there and how they've adapted to survive. And the fact that things as big or bigger than Blue Whales are down there and they manage to to never be seen, blows my mind.

I find it very interesting. I'd love to get my scuba license one day and dive down and explore tbh.

The animals they've found in the abyss are stunning. Like something from science fiction. I always look forward to discoveries from the ocean.

I'm scared of it. I'm afraid to be eaten by a shark.

I wish we'd put time and effort into trying to find out more about the ocean, after all it is a huge part of our planet. That being said, I love reading about it but don't send me down there.

I live on a island outside of Sweden so I'm used to the ocean. Not all that scary. My opinion of course.

want to be scared of the ocean?
