I always thought I had a really cool idea. And as it is posted here on the 26 July 2013 at 16:49 GMT I feel protected in case it is ever used that I have proof it was my idea :- MITB match is ongoing and all men are down, out comes a character like JTG (not a match participant)comes out and takes the briefcase JTG puts the Contract up for auction on ebay The contract is posted in full, a clause in the Contract says that if the holder of the briefcase is not a registered WWE superstar then they must complete a 9 month crash course in NXT (WCW has had celebs wrestle with very little experience 9 months should be sufficient) and the holder of the briefcase must comply with creative direction (i.e. they can't shoot) All the earnings on the auction could be given to charity I think with having 2 MITB matches a bullcrap finish in one wouldn't be the end of the world plus it'd be interesting to see who won the auction, when they cashed in and it would create a lotof mainstream attention for WWE

Easiest direction:
Good Guy wins MITB. Good guy has a partner or manager or apprentice. Good guy goes to cash in MITB, and partner/manager/apprentice costs him the match.
Done with the right people (No divas, sorry) and on the right stage, it could be a great feud.
Hell, Hardy vs Hardy at WM25 would have been great with that kind of build up.

Do I had this idea last night of what they could do or could have done with it this year.
Ok have Daniel Bryan win the WWE MITB. As Summerslam is coming up have him tell Cena he will fight him fair and cash in for a match at Summerslam. For the month long build up to SS have them be like best friends teaming up and all that. At Summerslam as the match is about to start and DB is handing the case to the ref have The Shield storm the ring. As DB and Cena are both getting ready to take them on The Shield all just attack Cena and leave him beaten down, then have DB cash in on him and tell him how Cena has held down the rest of the roster for 8 years and now its time for justice and that he's the leader of The Shield.

That would be such a waste. Daniel Bryan is a fantastic babyface with tons of momentum, and that's exactly what WWE needs. If he turned heel, he'd just end up losing the title to Cena, Orton, Sheamus or Punk and the status quo would be preserved.

People that think the concept has gotten stale and there's very little new they can do with it have literally no imagination what so ever.

I always hoped to see a MITB briefcase thrown into a river. Thank you Cody Rhodes!

People that think the concept has gotten stale and there's very little new they can do with it have literally no imagination what so ever. I don't think it's that people have think the MITB "concept" per say has gotten stale, but given that 10 out of 12 times it's been cashed in the Same Exact Way and that 11 out of the 12 times the Title Changed Hands, those are the things that have gotten stale. Shake it up a bit, have people lose cashing in, I laid out a perfect scenario a few pages back of something different. The "surprise" cash in on a downed champion is what's stale, and 9 times out of 10 it does nothing for the person winning it.

Another thing I always thought they could do is have a face scaling the ladder at the end. A heel is up outside the ring but won't have time to get in the ring to stop the face, so instead he attacks the ref, who doesn't then see the face grab the briefcase. The heel then attacks the face, steals the briefcase, wakes the ref and is declared the winner.
You could then have the face and the heel feud, and maybe end up with both being given a briefcase. If they did go down that path, the face could cash in and win RVD-style, only to have the heel sneak up on him and instantly cash in afterwards, continuing their feud.
