Picked up elite tensai and sandow today at my local target. Sandow is pretty great, can't say much is wrong with the figure. But for some reason I'm really put off by the tensai. I really don't know what it is? Maybe the trunks, or the way the body looks. But for some reason I just think the basic figure is miles better and more realistic than his elite . I wound up throwing the gear on the basic. But does anyone feel the same way? I was really excited to get it but now I'm just kind of let down.

I have both, and prefer the Elite. The accessories alone made it worth a purchase. As far as the figure itself, I think it looks great! The piercings and tattoos on his face look great, the torso isn't all that bad, and the tights looks fantastic. But, to each their own.

Yeah I was going to mention it's probably the tights, the accessories are great and I was very surprised they could fit all of that deco and tattoos and the accessories into a single a Elite figure. Idk why you don't like the figure, I love it!

The basic is so much better than the elite. I bought E22, put the entrance gear on my B28, and sold the loose elite on ebay for $12.

because the torso looks horrible. his traps arent big enough and it makes his neck look long and skinny. his arms to me look smaller than the basics and his tights speak for themselves. also his chest tats are smushed together more because his chest isn't broad enough.

E22Tensai is easily one of mattels worst figures to date. How so? Have you looked at it without the robe? Its horrifying. Reminds me of a Jakks DA.. B28 on the other hand is amazing. |

The basic is MUCH better all round. I think the torso is what nakes the elite look so weird. The chest looks a lot better in the basic, almost perfect imo and the basic head scan is better.

I swapped the arms and head from b28 to my E22
I believe the trade off was the entrance attire or painting the skintone to the upper legs... mattel made the right choice

The tights didn't bother me as much as I thought they would. I love ab crunches, elites always get the edge there but I prefer the basic scan over elite.
I thought Sandow was a disappointment.

I hate that the trunks are wrong. He doesn't wear longer ones. He wears regular trunks.

You know, I was okay with it until I compared them side-by-side. There's a noticeable difference in them for sure. The size of the chest, the diminished size of the tattoos, the trunks, even the head sculpt. I was happy with the elite version since I simply display him with the robes on, but now that you've brought it up and I see them both, the basic is a really great figure.  |
