I think this will work out really well. Affleck can play serious and brooding. He can be a bad ass Batman, yet also be a very charming Bruce Wayne.

I think it's good casting. People have to remember that this is all leading to Justice League (possibly even with Ryan Reynolds!). This isn't the same time line, or even world, that the Dark Knight movies were set it. This will be less gritty and "real" and more traditional comic book based. Remember, they have to work aliens and things like that into this world.

Everyone keeps bringing up Daredevil yet no one is talking about what was wrong with the film. The editing was out of order, Affleck didn't edit the damn movie. He didn't even write or direct it. All he did was act in it, and he did a fine job considering what he was working with... I'm looking at Colin Farrell and his **** job of taking on Bullseye. You wanna blame someone for Daredevil sucking? Go blame Mark Steven Johnson and whoever edited it together. ...to a lesser extent,  Farrell, for Bullseye. |

I cannot believe how mad people are getting over this. I'm a HUGE Batman fan and I'm okay with this. I'm sure he'll be awesome. Like someone else said:
"2013 Ben Affleck is not the same as 2000 Ben Affleck."
They don't just hand out these MAJOR roles to anyone.

Now everyone here thinks Ledger as Joker was the greatest performance of all time. not me.never did and never will think he topped Jacks Joker.the sh*t I used to get here over this was incredible.I also defended the casting of Ledger. now back OT. I dont hate this at all.Im far more intrigued about the story and how they will get these two to interact.I feel anything DKR by Miller is NOT the way to go but I will reserve judgement also Legendary Pictures and WB part ways next year.IMO this will effect Nolans relationship with this film.someone brought up this isnt who Nolan wanted..... Zack Snyder is directing this movie not Nolan. |

Ben Affleck would make a good choice to play Batman only if they were going to make the movie in a 60's style. Like the Batman Adam West portrayed. If he's just going to woo women, and dance while wearing stockings then I'd say yes Affleck is a good choice. But in a world where Batman is a Badass Affleck is a HORRIBLE choice.
Did anyone see Argo? Ben Affleck played the part of a tough, highly trained government agent/spy. When in Argo did Ben Affleck make you feel like he was tough?
