^ The pre-posed legs hurt the figure, no doubt. I got the repaint from the two-pack that had Hush Scarecrow as well, the sculpt is great but posing him is next to impossible.
That Arkham Origins figure is a thing of beauty though, the repaint even looks really cool IMO.

Took on a new project today. I had some scrap foam leftover from various work so I decided to make a small little alleyway corner-type display. Just something simple to keep me sharp, and to post to you figure collectors on here and see if there'd be any interest in selling these to some of you guys who want to add a little different look to your figures. Just brainstorming, really, but some people have shown interest in this kinda thing. Anyway, here's what I'm coming up with so far - Just the flat pieces, the back/side walls and the base. Some of the details still need to be added. Assembled (not magnetized yet)…upright it stands about 13" and the base is about 7.5" by 8". A little small for a base, but like I said, this was made from leftover pieces. I'm gonna be adding in some more detail, texturing and such. Then I'm thinking a small vent or window where the hole is, and probably a poster or something on the plain wall. ***EDIT*** Still at it, since I ain't got sh*t else to do today. First bit of painting is done, haven't magnetized it yet. But it's coming to life. ***EDIT #2*** Haven't stopped…painted the rest, added the magnets. This thing stays together on its own now! The addition of the electrical box was something just to give it a little more character. Like I mentioned above, there'll be a graphic or poster of some kind on the back wall. Just have to decide if I want it to be an Arkham-styled one, or maybe some kind of X-Men mutant propaganda deal. I'm leaning towards a Batman one though. If I were to get the Arrow/Deathstroke 2-pack from the Arrow show, I would consider a "Queen for Mayor" poster on the back wall.

I'd go with the Harvey Dent election poster from Arkham City.

Got my Crime Syndicate figures this week plus Bizarro. They are all really cool but quality control is an issue that still plagues DC Collectibles. A lot of them had joints that were stuck in place. I ended up freezing than heating most of them to get the joints moving freely.
The elbow peg on Johnny Quick's left elbow was popped out while still in packaging. Haven't been able to fix that yet. There is also a fair amount of paint rub around the joints.
Owlman had a super wobbly head. To fix that I popped out the peg and super glued it into the neck. Then I popped the head on and it's perfect.
Overall I do like these figures. It just took a lot of work to get them to that point. The size, sculpt, and articulation are awesome on these.

Got my little diorama finished up last night, then wrecked it by using a spray sealer which apparently eats away at the paint/foam. So now I need to go back and re-touch it all up. At least I figured it out on this little one rather than my big building. Anyway, I went with a different Arkham poster (before I saw PJ's suggestion about the Harvey Dent one), but I think it turned out nice. I was going to have the vent be able to pop out, and at the moment it's not glued in or anything, but at the same time, it's not like Batman can actually go through it and end up anywhere. So I may re-visit that idea down the line sometime.

That looks great too bad it got messed up after you sprayed it.

That looks great too bad it got messed up after you sprayed it. Thanks man, yeah according to some of the guys I talk to about this stuff, I was too close with the spray sealer. I was less than a foot away, you're supposed to be like 18" away. Live and learn, I'll fix it on the next piece I do.

A few more to add to my shelves: SWAT helmet is being casted, then just to find some goggles.

Wow Haggar that looks incredible! Really inspirational. Wish I'd had dioramas like that for my figures when I was a kid!

Local shop kept moving through cases of these so I finally had them hold a Johnny Quick for me. Now I have the full set. I know what you mean about quality control. I saw a Bizarro where the eye wasn't even painted in the orbit at all. My Bizarro needed lots of work with his wrists being frozen. I had to take a needle to the excess paint encrusted around the joint and then boil them to get them to move. Anyway, I'm going to make you a little more upset. This is an issue across the board, on everyone I've seen in person and online. Look carefully at Owlman and Ultraman's kneecaps. Notice anything? You can't unsee it, and it isn't just an aesthetic issue, it makes them stand wrong. Give up? The kneecaps are upside down on them both.

This is just a video showing the various sets/dioramas I've been making. Figured anyone interested in here could take a look.
Sucks hearing about quality control from DC Collectibles, hopefully they get all this sorted out by the time the animated Batman figures come out this year. I want that line to be flawless!

Doubt they will get the Quality control sorted out. I have been buying figures from them for maybe 10 years now and they have always had issues. I still like them though.

As long as they continue to use that clear brittle plastic that they use for stems and pegs there will be QC issues with DCD

Here's better pictures of the customs I got from Origins. Black Mask goons: GCPD SWAT (Branden & nameless): I had a SWAT helmet shrunken and it's being casted, I also have some SWAT riot shields being casted in navy blue. Plus I also have a full helmet/full mask/goggles head being casted so they can look different. And two will have just black hats. After those, I'll be moving on to Joker Goons since they're really similar to the TDK goons they'll use the WWE elite/basic bodies with the DCC Joker goons head casts with some modifications done to their hair/mask.

Thanks. I only put them together and one of my customizers sculpted/painted them.
Hoping to have an impressive Black Mask, Joker, Penguin, and Bane goon army before I move onto getting some sorely missed characters from the games. Probably some re-dos like Poison Ivy, Scarecrow (articulated), Gordon, Alfred.

Been out of the DCD (or whatever theyre called now) loop for the last few years. Got a new job that allows me to afford expanding the collection. Any suggestions on newer figures to purchase? Like, stuff i could still get at my LCS or upcoming releases to look out for?
