Thought I'd post this here. I made this a couple years ago, I think anyone around my age who remembers collecting Batman figures in the early '90s would get some enjoyment out of this. At the very least, it's a good run through memory lane, since I was able to show a lot of my old figures and vehicles from those days. Great job! I was born in ‘90 and some of my favorite toys were the Kenner Batman lines. One Christmas my parents got my a Batman Returns Batman and the Animated Batmobile. Obviously differently lines but I didn’t care. I played the hell out of those toys for years.

I know the feeling, I had to use movie and/or animated versions for their counterparts because I couldn't find certain figures in stores. To this day, I remember the ONE and only time I saw the BTAS Killer Croc figure and didn't have money for it. Never saw it again haha.

So I saw that new McFarlane Multiverse Animated Series Batman today at Walmart. Looks horrible. McFarlane isn't going to get a penny from me

I get the appeal for the animated style, but these look really awkward to me. DC Collectibles is far and away the better option IMO. I can't get on board with these McFarlane figures, aside from the regular Superman which looked good from what I've seen.

My only gripe with the DC Collectibles version is they are so damn brittle... the hard plastic they use have cause me several issues with pieces breaking if they fall from a distance... I can’t speak for the McFarlane version but I’m not about to buy the same collection twice, so I’ll stick with the DC Collectibles (see previous page for my setup)... I do like the look of the McFarlane tho, and I agree w PJ that it’s a perfect mash up between all the animated shows...

I don't hate the McF figures, but I'm also not in love with them. I think the regular and animated Supes and animated Batman all look pretty decent.
Definitely not a fan of the varying scales within the same line though. I'm not even a stickler for stuff like this, but GL and Harley feel ridiculously out of place.

DC Collectibles look great but can’t be posed without fear of breaking, and most can’t stand on their own either. This new McF animated Batman is great IMO.

I do like the look of the McFarlane tho, and I agree w PJ that it’s a perfect mash up between all the animated shows... I thought they improved some of that initial brittleness. WAY back when they first came out, I got the first TNBA Batman and it broke right out of package. A customer service rep at DC Collectibles sent me a new figure with better joints (and incidentally, improved aesthetics as the legs were missing those ugly peg holes on the hips) and I've had no issues with that one. Those animated figures look great, but it's a line I've always admired from afar. I do love how deep into the roster they've gone - never did I think I'd see a BTAS Gray Ghost and HARDAC Batman sitting on store shelves, but here we are haha. ***EDIT*** I went and saw your collection on the last page, looks really good man. What's your budget for that Batcave? Last I knew, a local shop had one new in box. I can check back this week and let you know what they're asking, if you want.

Picked up a bunch of DC Spin Master stuff from Target today. I got the 12” Harley Quinn, the 12” Robin, the 4” Nightwing, the 4” metallic paint Robin, the 4” Man-Bat, and the 12” Batman-King Shark two pack.

DCD/DCC their plastic went from a brittle clear plastic to a brittle colored plastic. I still had figures break after the plastic change (a couple of Arrow figures) luckily none of my Animated figures have suffered from breakage. That said I love both company’s animated figures.

Just got my Target-exclusive New 52 (hammerhead) King Shark from the Target two blocks away from my office here in downtown Portland. I struck out at all three Vancouver (where I live) Targets yesterday, as someone had beat me to the KS figs at each location. An employee was just putting them out on the shelf, and was happy to help me out!

Just found the McFarlanes! Shoutout to PJ for throwing the DPCI number up on here a few pages back, saved me a ton of time/trouble in an area that's particularly bad with stock. I know the reaction was pretty harsh when these protos first popped up, but these are legitimately some of the best action figures I think I've ever seen -- particularly at the $20 price point. Now, I'm not a Marvel Legends guy at all, so maybe that's part of just differing tastes ... I like my action figures a little bigger like the WWE Mattel line. I wanted to get into some DC lines in the past but found the Icons/Essentials/etc. too small for my liking/just not up to my taste. So this is honestly a double win for me -- I love the figs and I'm thrilled to finally be in on the ground floor of a DC line. I plan on only sticking to the comic versions of characters, but we'll see how long that lasts. The quick negatives -- they're a little tricky to manipulate when it comes to posing, etc. Articulation is good and I probably just have to get used to it, but they were some annoyances there. They're not the easiest to keep standing up, thank god for the little stands they include. Also -- and this doesn't surprise me given some of McFarlane's issues in the past -- if you're picky with paint apps like I am, you may need to look around a little. I saw them at two stores and there were a bunch that I wouldn't have found to be satisfactory. I'm not all that surprised in that regard but it is an annoyance. Overall I'm super impressed and genuinely happy to be in on a main DC line from the start.

Hopefully DC Collectible will finish off the remaining 8 villains for BtAS, two sets of 4, and toss in a 3 pack... this is what I’m hoping for!!
4 figure series Dr Hugo Strange Red Claw Clock King Baby Doll (not adventures of Batman)
4 figure series Rupert Thorn Sewer King Mad Bomber Kyodai Ken
3 pack in street clothes Bruce Wayne Dick Grayson Barbara Gordon

I don’t think they made Lock Up yet either. He’s someone I would love for them to make.
