It wasn't a dive by Vidal as he just tripped over the ground, but the fact he appealed for a penalty was disgraceful.

Ronaldo is my pick for Ballon d'Or. He only just edges it because Messi has been injured a few times this year.
Ibra is quality, just a rung below Messi and Ronaldo. Same with Ribery. Still not sure why the hatred of Barca in this thread. As I said before, they're c*nts but they're also still clearly the 2nd best team in the world, behind Bayern.
Also don't get the love for Madrid. Take away Ronaldo and what do you have really?

Real have beaten them more than they've beaten Real in recent Clasicos. Atletico are also fantastic in Spain too, and if Barca don't win this weekend they'll almost certainly go top of La Liga.

Who has been consistently better than Barcelona over the last 2-3 years other than Bayern? Real just about edge it in head-to-head meetings in the last couple years, but it's been pretty damn even. And winning so many trophies is more important than one extra win imo. For example, ignoring the start to this season, would you have said Man City are better than Man Utd? I doubt it. But Man City have the better recent record in derbies. Atletico are a very good team but not on Real or Barca's level atm. They are suffering from Belgium syndrome. They're a good team, lots of potential, and quite popular, but when push comes to shove they're just not good enough. Atletico may go top this weekend but will they be at the end of the season? I doubt it.

I love Atletico Madrid, and despise both Barcelona and Real Madrid, so I really hope they can put in a title challenge this season. Beat Real was certainly a step in the right direction.

I'd love to see Atletico challenge for the title. They have been the best team in La Liga this season and Diego Costa especailly has been absolutely fantastic for them. Although they do have other good players such as Koke, Turan and Villa. They certainly don't miss Falcao that's for sure. Although I do see them slightly drifting out of contention right at the end of the season.
Personally see Barcelona winning it this year. It will take time but I think the knew method of playing is helping them as previously they were becoming too predictable so a change is good. Sanchez and Neymar have both impressed me this season.
As for Real this will be a year in transition for them. They have some good youngsters in Carvajal, Illaramendi (despite being well overpriced), Morata and Varane but they will need time to improve as they are far from the finished article (a bit harsh on Varane who is absolute class). I know Lopez has played well but it still upsets me when I see Casillas on the bench.

Makes me smile seeing Diego Costa doing so well after being mocked all summer for saying he'd be a brilliant signing for Liverpool when they were linked. All I got from a lot of people was "I hope they do get him because he's crape and the only thing of note he does is spit at people."
I'm also a fan of Illarramendi. Not looked out of place in the Real Madrid team and will prove to be a great long term replacement for Alonso (who they desperately miss atm).
As for Casillas, it's time to put him back in the starting 11. Diego Lopez was at fault for Sanchez's goal at the weekend. I was baffled as to why he came so far off his line. Jose dropped him after a personal row, not because he was out of form. He's still one of the best goal keepers in the world and Diego Lopez is a brilliant option, but not quite as good.

Ronaldo broke Messi's record of Champions League goals in a calendar year last night.
Wouldn't rule out at least another 3-4 before the year's out.

Absolutely disgraceful scenes in Amsterdam last night! Didn't think it was that bad the way the media reported it but just got looking at a couple of videos and some of it is shocking tbh.
