Ripped out? Amateurs. Most of the belts that get stolen in my area are exacto knife or box cutter'd out the front. Luckily I havent came across a stolen belt I need.

It was already alluded to earlier in this thread, but, let me just point this out to everyone:
If you see one of these belts for sale on eBay, do not bid on or buy it. No one is going to buy a new Elite figure, then only sell the title belt. Brand new title belt up for auction means that the belt was stolen. Do not support these piece of trash thieves. They are ruining collecting. Don't help them to profit from it.

I used to To do it every time I got one of those stupid spinner wwe titles because I hate that belt and don't even want one in my possession. I've made just as much back for the belt alone as I've paid for these figures.

I could see people buying Elite 24 Dolph Ziggler, for example, and selling the World title because that's the 458957658799875th time it's been released. And some kids would sell the WWE title from Elite 20 Punk or Elite 11 Miz because they hate Cena.

No offense to you if that's what you have done, however, the fact that you have paid for your figures by selling the loose belts is exactly why thieves are stealing them from packages in stores. Missing belts in stores, followed by loose belts being listed on eBay, means there is a very good chance that those loose belts are stolen belts. As there is no way for me to know what is or isn't a stolen belt, I simply avoid these auctions and would still advise others to do the same. It's a shame that it's come to that, but this stolen title belt thing is epidemic. The only advice I could give would be to show some kind of proof in your auctions that you got the belt through legal means. It's a shame it has come to that, but, as I stated earlier, these thieves are ruining it for everyone. You have to draw the line somewhere and for me that's it.

I came across this for the first time this past Sunday. Found a Cesara missing the belt at Walmart. I took it up front and haven't seen it back on the shelf yet. I just hope I catch one of these people in the act. If it's someone smaller than me, I'll just grab them and drag them to the front. If they are my size or seem like a threat at all, I'm just swinging for the jaw. Cheap shot at its finest.

I don't think even the majority of loose belts on eBay are stolen. And I damn sure don't think me making money off of loose belts is in any way influencing people to go out and steal

You can't expect someone to stop doing something that is perfectly legal and the ethical way to do it, because it encourages others to do it the illegal, unethical way.

Eh there's plenty of belt's that would pay for the retail value of a figure it came with. For instance you could probably sell the painted Diva's belt on Ebay now loose for the same price as the moc K2 (I don't want to know how much it is now...

The smart thing to do is to inform the store and get out of the way. Even if the store backs up your assertion that there was a potential theft happening, the cops could still charge you with disorderly conduct and/or assault.

This was super rampant here when E10 Big Show hit the pegs. I think I only ever saw him once with both belts still intact. Most recently I've found a couple E22 Kane figures missing that hideously colored tag title and E22 Show has been hit, too.
On a related note, I found E23 Cesaro at Kmart last week, 1 of only 2 Elites at that store (the other fig was Cena), and it looked as if someone tried to steal his belt by opening the side flap. Luckily they weren't able to get to the belt and I was able to add him to my collection! Which brings up another question: have you ever purchased a new figure in store knowing it was missing a belt (or other accessory)?

When I brought it to the cashiers attention they first tried to play dumb then finally admitted that they re taped the packaging shut as someone had previously stolen a belt out of it. ( I'm not sure how, tru express is so small and the wwe section is right next to the cashier/front desk. ). Anyway I got it marked down to. 14.99 and bought it. I did kinda want the belt to upgrade from my elite12 us belt. But i was more so interested in the figure itself. It was worth it as I still haven't seen another cesaro or elite 23 for that matter since than.

I just went back to the same walmart and found that now the savage belt is torn out and the jbl box is ripped up. I'm willing to take my chances. Ill brake their jaw or give them one hell of a clothesline. Whichever one comes from instinct first.
