What about DustyDust?
I thought TAFKAG was pretty cool, and his screwed up theme song was bad ass.
Seven in WCW looked pretty awesome, too, but sadly Dustin is always dull whenever he's plain old Dustin.

Hated watching Goldust's matches between 1997 and 1999. Probably my least favourite tenure of his career. Dustin was at his most uninspired.

His feud with HHH during the beginning of 1997 was decent as he had turned face for the first time. He actually was pretty popular during his feud with Val Venis in late 1998 but then just kinda fizzled out.

No one mentioned Shafdust? We're a classless bunch. Deepest apologies. I agree that the character definitely lost something during the later parts of '97, but I really thought the Goldust/Pillman feud was pretty awesome. It got really entertaining once Marlena had to join Pillman after Ground Zero. Those segments were pretty raw and personal. Almost felt like I had to take a bath after watching them.

I totally forgot about the Goldust/Pillman feud! GREAT stuff! I wish we had seen that in its entirety.
Too bad Pillman died before the feud was finished.

seems like that the writers had just a bit TOO much with this idea, this creeped me out EVEN MORE SO with the theme

Skip to an hour and a half and twelve seconds in He strikes again Yep, I thought I remembered that right. I actually got to order that PPV (I rarely got to actually see PPV's before they came to video back then) my parents ordered that show for me for my birthday that year.

I thought the angle with TAFKA Goldust was alright. It was definitely edgey and shocking. I think there was a lot that could have been done with Dustin/Goldust/TAFKA Goldust but sadly the writers seem to let him fizzle out.

I wonder what would have happened had Pillman not passed during this time. I cant remember who was suppose to go over at Badd Blood, Im assuming Goldust. I wonder if this was planned for a while or just a new direction once that angle got scrapped.

I disliked this incarnation of Goldust to the zenith of my disliking abilities.
however from 95-97 Goldust was very entertaining IMO.the stuff with Pillman was raw as f*ck......considering Pillman did used to "Pillmanise" ol Terri at one point.

When I was a kid I would rent every wrestling tape I could find. There was just something that I loved about Goldust, especially TAFKAG. So it holds a special place in my heart and may explain my oddness haha.

You're right. He had just finished his feud with Goldie and Terri. They were suppose to renew their vows or something and that plan didnt go through due to Pillman's death. Or so I believe.
