So we all know Wade Barrett has been off TV for awhile. Most of us are also aware that it's due to his work visa expiring, he had to return to the UK and is awaiting a new one. Apparently the process is VERY slow.
For those who care....
How do you want Wade to return? Same gimmick? Facial hair? Bring back Nexus with him?
If you don't care, fine....but personally I've always enjoyed Wade Barrett. Everything but his themes (since End of Days) and his most recent finisher. I think the guy has a lot of ring talent, and can be VERY good on the mic. For whatever reason he has been completely and utterly buried by this company ever since he ran into SuperCena during the Nexus run.

I've been really indifferent to him for a while mostly because it's the same song & dance. He gets what seems to be a renewed push, wins a few meaningless matches & after a while goes back to jobbing or put in a never ending series of matches with someone.

I liked him up until after his feud with Orton. Since then I've found him so boring.

I like him, but he isn't that interesting and that's at least partly due to the start-up pushes. I'd like to see him come back as he was - taped fists, beard - but with some consistency and an actual storyline instead of wrestling Orton/Sheamus/Bryan/Miz in pointless matches that go on forever.

I love Wade Barrett, but I also thing he's boring, so it's tough to figure out just how they should use him. I think he's best when he's the leader of a group (just not when John Cena joins that group with his pouty face and emasculates it from within.)

Honestly, I preferred Nexus Barrett to all others. One of the more polished wrestlers of the group (not including Daniel Bryan) along with many opportunities to show his mic skills.
I really enjoyed his Orton feud, but really hasn't done much since then.

I found him green in Nexus, boring in his fued with Orton, and a decent midcarder at best. I personally don't see him ever going anywhere.

He's a good utility guy, but I never really viewed him as being a main event player, aside from during the very brief period of time where the Nexus was successful (so, June-August of 2010.) |

Didn't his visa expire toward the beginning of Nexus? Strange that they would allow it to happen again. The Barrett Barrage is now just sitting in his Barrett Garage.

I feel this is their LAST chance to do something with him before he ends up lingering in mid card hell for the remainder of his career. Not sure what they Can do but it damn sure better not be a comedy gimmick.

I know people wanted something fresh besides Orton and Cena even back then but I still didn't understand why everyone was so quick to beg for him to be WWE Champion. The guy could talk sure, but in the ring he was ass in my opinion. Nexus were a bunch of green guys thrown together and one talented wrestler who got fired the day after the angle started. I just never "got" it. |

I would like to see him face, the brawler/street fighter gimmick they tried to repackage him with could work if he was a face, so they could just present him as a straight up badass. It's what Sheamus should be more like.

Wade got hurt at the worst possible point in his career. He was just about to win MITB and he hasn't really been able to regain momentum since then. His IC title reign was HORRIBLE. He won like 2 matches in 5 months and they just so happened to be the times he was defending the title. Other than that, he was jobber to the stars the whole time. People wonder why title prestige sucks right now, it's not the wrestlers holding the titles... it's the fact that WWE says "oh, he's got a title, he can get his heat back after losing 8 in a row because he can win a title match."
