Xbox 1 first. Maybe in a year.
Then PS4 some time in 2015

Sadly the cross gen games are going to continue at least until next fall and most likely into 2015 as well. Way longer than that. EA still releases FIFA on PS2.

It won't bother me too much if that means the next gen versions will also drop in price fast since they will have current gen counterparts. Although, to be fair, Ubisoft and EA titles drop fairly fast today. There is no point to even spend $60 on Watch Dogs next spring because it will be $30 or so somewhere by summer.

At the moment I'm happy with my Wii U, 3DS and Xbox 360. But when some actual games that are worth anything start coming out I'll have to make my mind up.
It all depends on which one gets better exclusives. The fact that there's no backwards compatibility on either console is a big turn off for me (I can play my Wii games on my Wii U). Dead Rising 3 looks like a pile of crap (I loved the first 2 but they've totally destroyed it on XBONE).
If MSoft started making good games using Rare's IPs then I'd questionably go with them.

I enjoyed the Wii U, but I don't disagree. I never saw the point of buying a console at launch when the better games are down the line, as is a price drop and more games for the current generation of consoles. But as always, to each their own. If it was super easy for me to afford and get a hold of one, it might be a different discussion. Honestly, because of the amount of games I used to have and would love to play again, I'm more likely to buy a cheap 360 first.

PS4 when Infamous comes out. I'll probably skip X-box One.

But with New Super Mario Bros, Pikmin 3 and Wind Waker there are at least 3 awesome games. Neither PS4 or XBONE have any games that appeal to me in the slightest. Let alone to actually get a console for them.

When I got my PS3, I lived on Tiger Woods and random demos I'd download from the store until Uncharted 1 came out the following year. I think I might do the same thing for PS4. Nothing interests me at launch but MGS V and Watch Dogs are around the corner, and PS+ gives you free stuff every month, so I'm thinking about it...

PS4 seems like a disaster so far. On that note, if anyone has xbox Dew/Dorito codes they dont need. I'd accept the donation.

I mean I am getting X1 for Halo and since my friends are getting it, but the PS4 sounds like a better gaming console. If I had the time to split between all three main companies then I would totally get PS4 as well.

Probably the Xbox 1 next year for Halo 5. Until then I am happy with my Wii U.

It's why I avoid launch systems. My friend is a hardcore Sony fanboy and he was shipped a dead system from Amazon and is being refunded. Sony's own forum is flooded with people with bricked systems. I'd say that isn't exactly a good thing.

This is basically what I've heard and it seems barely anyone over at NeoGAF is encountering this as well.

I love my PS4. It works great and AC 4 is amazing. Calling it a "disaster" is incredibly over the top.

Negative feedback is always going to outweigh positive feedback.
Launching new hardware and not expecting any sort of defective units would be incredibly short sighted. The entire thing is being blown out of proportion on the internet, as usual. The same thing will happen with the Xbox One. I can't wait for the "OMG RROD IS BACK!!!!" posts when somebody encounters a failure.

I'm happy with my Xbox One preorder, but man, I watched Mega64's live stream of the PS4 on twitch and it was amazing...the streaming is so seamless.
