Demolition is without a shadow of a doubt my favorite tag team of all time. Everything about them is just perfect in my eyes.. Their look, the intro, their promo work, absolutely everything... There are too many great tag teams from this era to count, but in my eyes, Demolition will always be #1... There will always be a twinge of disappointment in my heart due to the fact that Ax and Smash never got a proper program with Hawk and Animal in the late 80's like they should have, but I just thank God that these 2 men existed and put on some of my favorite matches ever

The fact that they had their 478 day reign during one of the, if not the, strongest period in tag team wrestling for the company is why I think they definitely deserve to be put into the top of all time greatest teams, not just greatest WWF team.

I liked Demolition making the crowd wait for their entrance.
The announcer announced it was going to be a tag title match and the place went crazy. They booed at the announcement of Joey Marella as the ref. They booed Demolition when they were first announced and booed them when they eventually came out. When the Powers of Pain were announced they got a mixed reaction [/Cole].
Loved the Smash going back and forth between Barbarian and Warlord and getting hit by each spot.
I don't think the fans took to the Powers of Pain as faces, at least not here. They just wanted to see Demolition get beat up by someone, anyone.
Demolition were very entertaining and could get the crowd to love or hate them. Eadie was very good on the mic.

There has to be a viable reason as to why they aren't getting the much due call to the HOF. Both Ax & Smash are alive & well, and Vince usually always favors his creations over others, so I don't get why one of his greatest tag teams are not being given the call they deserve?
And yes, I appreciate the Road Warriors - but I always preferred Demolition. By far actually.

I hear it's nice this time of year.

Demolition was my favorite tag team. Hopefully Vince puts them in the hall of fame At the end of the Day both him and Bill Eadie are businessmen who would put their differences aside when it comes to making money.

Coolest entrance music ever.
I really enjoyed Smash but for some reason just couldn't get behind Ax. He always looked like an old man to me. Not sure why.

LOL! cause he was! he was 40 years old when he started in Demolition, and a 14 year veteran of the ring at that point. I see the animosity between him and Vince being the reason for no HOF induction yet. Vince promised him a backstage agent role after his career was over, but instead he was let go,and he sued the WWF over it. plus he started wrestling in Japan and independents in 1991 ,using the Demolition name with various Tag Team partners. I'm sure that pissed Vince off too. however...if the WWE could make peace with Bret Hart, The Ultimate Warrior, and Bruno Sammartino, they should be able to make peace with Eadie someday...

I didn't know he was 40. That explains it. He always looked like he could be Smash's fat drunk uncle or something.

His age never bothered me. Then again I wasn't watching it as it happened, just videos from that time but he always seemed like an ass kicker to me.
Smash was the one I wasn't a fan of. I'm not even sure what I don't like about him. I'm just like "Ugh, hurry up and tag Ax in."

I always hated those weak ass double ax handles he used to do on his opponent's back when they'd bounce up and down. Come on, the guy's name was Ax and he couldn't even do a convincing double ax handle?

I was always a huge Road Warriors fan. So when they debuted I thought they were rip offs. And they were. It took me a while it get over it but eventually they won me over because they were pretty good. Still not in the same league as the warriors but pretty good. And obviously Vince felt the same way. But they turned out much better than they should have. I hated Crush though.

agreed 100% with all who don't associate Crush with Demolition. With Bret heading into singles competitions soon and Owen Hart being signed, I'm honest to god surprised that they didn't bring Owen in the Harts to compete with Demolitions 3 men, especially as Neidhart ended up teaming with Owen afterwards. A Survivor Series match would have been awesomesauce.

yeah the Harts just beat them and moved on really.....the seeds of the Demolition vs LOD feud were laid when Hawk & Animal stopped Demo from cheating in that match and that's obviously where Vince was headed......but we also seen what happened there.

Yeah I really don't get why they didn't do LOD vs Demolition at WM 7. Weird that Vinnie destroyed his own really successful team for LOD and LOD never even had a good run in WWF/E EVER.
