I'm 31 and my wife helps me hunt from time to time. There is no age limit. It's a healthy, fun hobby. I do however, think I'm too old to play with them. I just like to display them, move them around, change the belts, etc. I don't know where I'd find the time anyways. I would just feel kinda silly. I'm not judging those of you who do, it's just not for me. This.

I never understood why husbands let their wives dictate if they can still collect figures or not. So when you get married, do your balls automatically fall off, or does the wife cut them off?? Cause it seems that once you get married (for the most part, there are exceptions) that the wife becomes the boss and anything that you found fun, is no longer allowed to happen. I said she thinks it's stupid basically and im too old but I collect regardless. My balls are down by my knee and sometimes they touch water so Def not cut off lmfao I don't think it's healthy for them to be down that low, you should see someone about that.

I'm 28 and I still collect. My woman definitely isn't thrilled about it, but she doesn't hate it either, nor has she ever tried to tell me to stop. She just gives me dirty looks when I spend a lot of money in figures in a short amount of time lol

I'm 31 and a father of two. Been collecting action figures regularly for the past five years. My girl is cool with it and even let me move my displays into our bedroom after I gave up my man cave when our youngest was born. She doesn't buy them for me because she says I'm "too picky" and doesn't want to get the wrong one (hey, I'm a collector, I want pristine figures whenever possible!), but she'll pick one up if I tell her to keep an eye out for something specific.
To the OP: do what you gotta do. As long as you're financially responsible and not hoarding like that TV show, it shouldn't be a problem. Would it be any different if you collected clocks? Or spent your time & money playing golf?

I just feel like you only live once and it's something I can pass down to my kids one day if they are into it. It's better then building train sets or planes or toy cars. Not saying anything is wrong with that either.

Like Midnight, I'm 35 with a wife, father of a 3-year old and one on the way next year and I still collect. Can't say she's as super supportive as some of the other spouses seem to be, but she understands that it's one of my passions and it's relatively harmless (once I stay in budget! Sadly no MOTUC Castle Grayskull at $300 a pop for me ). But like MrPerfect, I can't really play with them anymore. I'll toss them around with my son once in a while but I really like posing/taking pics more. Doubt I'll ever stop collecting. Remember in 10 years we're all going to be roughly 45-55 years old or more, what will we say then!?!

If my wife gave dirty looks when I came home with a bunch of figures, or when a package arrived, she'd be a total hypocrite. Because I'm incredibly fair when she buys shoes, coach purses, makeup, and jewlery all the time. We all have our healthy vices we need to enjoy life. As long as your bills are paid.....

I never thought of that so technically I support my hobby and hers because I done bought her damn near 8 coach or Michael Kors purses

My mom thinks I'm too old to be collecting toys and I'm only 18. My brother and his gf would make fun of me back then, but I got them into collecting and into watching wrestling again.

I would say so for as much as I've spent on it ha. I'm almost thirty years old myself, and I wouldn't give up collecting for someone else. I know it's your wife and you love her but if someone is trying to change who you are and your beliefs. I don't think that is what you signed up for and it's time for a family meeting. I think you two need to sit down and discuss it and come to some sort of agreement. If she can't agree, then all the extra money you allow her to spend just start donating it to charity. If she asks where it's going just tell her, hey if I can't spend my hard earned money on what I want, then you can't either and we'll donate it to a better cause.
That is my opinion though. Don't do anything stupid over it and you will be a better person for it.

36 and a legends/flashback collector ... my wife is great about it. she'll give me a hard time every now and again, but she knows it is a part of my childhood i enjoy rehashing from time to time. always makes for great conversation with old buddies when we have a party. it's a part of my man room, so she's good with the location too!
if it were causing us financial strain or if it was creating a mess within the house, i think she would have a complaint. it really boils down to respect. she respects my silly collection and i respect her enough not to make it a problem.
