Out. One shelf for current roster. One for Legends. That's sweet. I would love to see a pic of that. I'm sure it's extensive. Not the greatest pics, but ya get the gist. For the current roster shelf is all Basics (except Ricardo & Teddy Long) & I have everyone except Tamina. Also have Langston/Fandango/and an updated Swagger on the way. For my (modest) Legends shelf, I have a few more, but I try to only put one of each person on each shelf. In other words I currently don't have my Rockers up, because I have HBK up. Same for Cactus/Mankind, Steamboat/Dragon etc.

My wife thinks I am too old to even watch wrestling anymore let alone collect them. I'm 34. I miss the good ole days when she was supportive.

Im 25 and I got a 3yr old who will be 4 in Feb. we like the classic WWF/WWE Elites so our collecting is limited but still we've collected alot Vader,Diesel,Rock,Macho Man x3,Warrior x4,Papa Shango,Kamala,Yokozuna,Bret Hart x2 ect figures of that era. My g/f, his mom gives me crap about it ALL THE TIME! She thinks 2 should be enough...ha! We have about 35 or 40 at the most small but valued collection, Just picked up "The Giant" yesterday. STILL haven't heard the end of that.

As soon as you lose interest, that's when you're too old.

The only reasons a person should stop collecting are: 1) It's causing a financial strain 2) You're running out of space 3) You've stopped getting enjoyment out of it. There are no more good reasons. Also,

Whatever you do don't divorce her, she might take half your collection out of spite.

I'm 28 going on 29 in January and my wife says I'm getting to old to collect wrestling figures, playsets, rings, belts etc. So i am curious to hear your guys opinions on what age is too old to collect figures. I'm 40, with kids, and I have hundreds of figures, comic books, and I regularly quote super heroes and sci-fi movies in every day conversation. I always tell my wife I could quit all of this and do what men are "supposed" to do, like drink beer, gamble, buy expensive cars, expensive tools, and have affairs. She always picks option 1. Tell your wife that if her biggest problem with you is collecting figures, you have a very solid marriage, she's very lucky, and she needs to plant a giant kiss on you, bro.

There is no age limit obviously , just as long as you want to collect them. Up to you 100%.

I'll be 31 next month and just started collecting about 7 months ago. My wife put up with my card collecting since we met and this isnt costing me nearly as much. now when she comes home from Target with bags in her hands I hear, "sorry hun, no Kaitlyn". Then I dont help her with the bags and go to my cave and pout. I usually snap out of it quickly when I start making stupid pics with my figs. Thats pretty much what i do with them... display, funny pics and in 10 years I'm selling the colection for a zillion dollars. Not because the value of the figs will go up, but the dollar probably wont be worth jack by then.

Come on, guys. We get this thread here every week, and 9 times out of 10 it has to do with a wife or girlfriend. You're never too old to have your OWN interests and hobbies, but you are all far too old to keep questioning yourselves because someone else doesn't like them.

I'm 28 going on 29 in January and my wife says I'm getting to old to collect wrestling figures, playsets, rings, belts etc. So i am curious to hear your guys opinions on what age is too old to collect figures. True love will allow for compromise. Simply tell her that you would like to reserve your own budget for your hobby & you promise to not allow it to effect the financial stability of your family in anyway ever. Be sure to remind her that it is far superior to having a drinking, smoking, or drug addiction. It also depends on what hobbies you have. If it's your only hobby, then state that, but say it without emotion or intensity. That's going to cause her to think you have a problem. For example: You & her agree to allow you to put a maximum of 20 to 30$ A month in a rainy day fund to use for collecting. I use this relatively small number, because I don't know you income. Family obviously always comes first. What can happen is one of two scenarios. You sparingly add to your collection & keep under the radar without sneaking around your wife, or you gradually build a large sum of money stores away in your closet that allows you to acquire one immense haul that you can enjoy as part of your Christmas, birthday, or simply a vacation week from work where the timing is right with various Craigslist listing, online sales, and/or ideal bargains at the various local retailers. If you can prove your passion for the art(however high & lowbrow it can be) that you love collecting moveable sculptures portraying Your favorite protagonists & atongonists of the wrestling stage, & be sensible financially then I see no reason that your wife won't support you. I'll be collecting & enjoying wrestling to my very end. Dead is too old.
