I just don't understand what happened with Ryder. The guy got over. Who cares how he got over, he did it. Why would WWE not want more mid carders like Ryder? I'm even cool with Ryder being a jobber every week, but he should be on the show every week. He's a lovable character, like Santino, and the worst thing he is going to do out there is sell merchandise. In a time when so many guys on the roster have no identity or personality, Zack Ryder knows exactly who and what he is. If WWE is a variety show, and an entertainment show, there should be a place for Ryder each and every week. It's not like Ryder is a bad worker either. I think he's better in the ring than Miz. I know he was bad on the mic in that Kane feud, but so was Eve, and Eve is a natural talker. I just think someone didn't like the idea of Ryder getting over and they completely squashed him. Everyone was horrible in that Kane angle, Kane included, and Ryder was the most hurt by it.
I hope the guy can find his way back. Why he hasn't been put in a tag team to this point is beyond me. I thought Ryder and Santino was a great team concept. Santino acts ridiculous, gets an "are you serious bro" and they either job out or make the audience laugh. WWE needs that element to their show imo.

Poor Ryder. He needs to be back on TV. He was so over. He had a great fued with Ziggler. I can tell he wants to wrestle. Wish we could start the Ryder Resurrection.

LOL Name who else got their named chanted in promos and matches they weren't even involved in during late 2011. They chanted for him in all the PPVs, Cena's promos and Rock's promos. Even Cena backed the kid so hard. |

The WWE knows who they want to push, whether the fans like it or not. Vince will make us like the guy he's pushing, and ignore the guys we wanna see be pushed.
Zack Ryder wasn't on Vince's list of guys. It could be said Daniel Bryan isn't either. They gave Ryder the US Title to please the fans and then took it off him just as fast. They gave Bryan the WWE Title - twice - and had it taken off of him by the following day both times.
Vince wants us to cheer Kofi Kingston on, and John Cena, and Big E. Langston. Just follow what Vince wants, and you will all be happy.

Sad that he hasn't been utilized. But to say he was the most over during that time is a bit misconstrued. I honestly think Punk was the most over guy at that time, imo.

I don't get how it's sad? It's always been known Ryder is a super nerdy wrestling fan, heck he still collects the figures. He probably just wanted to watch an awesome cage match from the crowds perspective instead of a tiny tv in the back.
