Name who else got their named chanted in promos and matches they weren't even involved in during late 2011. They chanted for him in all the PPVs, Cena's promos and Rock's promos. Even Cena backed the kid so hard. CM Punk Thank you sir.

Don't really see anything sad about it, he's a lifelong fan & he even did it at Wrestlemania 28 for Rock/Cena & tweeted about it. Plenty of wrestlers do this.

Really? In 2014 people are still clamoring for a Zack Ryder push? No thank you. His stale, irritating gimmick can go. Dude was brutal to watch during the whole Kane/Eve/Cena debacle. Honestly... Ryder kinda did himself in once they started featuring him in segments and giving him mic time. The dude couldn't act. These guys get it. Back during his popularity I claimed multiple times that it was nothing more than a fad to be a Zack Ryder fan. People got on my case about it, most notably slappy, but it looks like I was right. No one gives two sh*ts about the guy except a handful of internet smarks but he's done. Get over it. The guy was a ing hack and his segments and promos were so cringe worthy that it was almost unbearable. He's a jabroni and always will be a jabroni. I really wonder what the guy with the Zack Ryder tattoo is thinking right now, lmao!

Mehh. What can you expect from a guy who's name is Sack Rider. I mean, no way in hell they'll push that.

I know some people loved him, but he just seemed like an immature goof to me. I tried to watch one of those youtube things he did, and I thought it was garbage. Just think it was a fad. Maybe an age thing. I know my kid couldn't care less about the guy and people my age felt the same way (30+). Maybe teens and young 20s liked him, I don't know. D. Bryan is different because he is popular with everybody. Great worker, underdog story, good on the mic, likable looking guy, unlikely and long journey to get to this point, etc. Kids, teens, 20+, 30+, etc can relate to him in some way.

Honestly... Ryder kinda did himself in once they started featuring him in segments and giving him mic time. The dude couldn't act. Yup. The one thing that killed Zack Ryder's chances was how badly he sucked when they actually started featuring him. At least before that, it was like "hey, give Ryder a chance, he might be good." But now, we've seen how bad he is when they gave him a chance, and we don't want to see him stinking up the television again. I would actually still use Ryder. I'd have Bad News Barrett berate him for sucking, and so he ends up sitting alone, all sad in the locker room. Curt Hawkins tries to talk Ryder into reforming their team. Eventually, Ryder does it, because his fanbase has abandoned him and nobody cares about him so he can do the generic "now I don't care what you people think" turn. Him and Hawkins could have a good Superstars feud with Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd, for fans who are into that sort of thing.

Ryder doesn't even have a gimmick. He's been just a generic smiling guy in colorful trunks/tights since the beginning of 2013 when he ended his webshow.

I was a fan and still am a fan so it's a little sad to see that. Yeah, he's an awful actor, but I enjoyed watching his matches. And hey, it's not like he's the first or last fad to rise and fade out. I remember Wade Barrett being huge here. Then the WWE realized he's pretty mediocre on his best days and now he's...I don't even know what the point of Bad News Barrett is supposed to be.

He has a natural charisma, you could see that on his YouTube shows. For some reason that just didn't translate well when he was on TV.
I was live when we won the US Title from Ziggler at TLC and the crowd was just going crazy for him. It was a great match and a great moment for him.
Then that systematically killed him after that. Swagger, Kane, Eve, one horrible angle and match after another.

He has a very likable personality. He's a hardcore wrestling fan become wrestler and it showed in his persona. I liked the goofy jersey shore wannabe hipster but not really taking it that serious gimmick he did. Way more enjoyable than Brodus Clay or Santino for me.

I like to compare him to Al Snow. Solid performers in the ring, relatively successful gimmicks, but backstage segments put a magnifying glass over their acting limitations. Both have charisma, but not in the way needed to pull off feuds the way WWE wanted them to pan out.

I would be doing the same thing if I was on the roster...not really sure how this is sad?

He was doing this like 3-6 weeks back (or whatever) with Bryan. He backs the hot hand and tries to get a rub off other, more over faces. Anyhow... Zack had a good run, but I've never been a fan myself. I've always found his shtick to be annoying.

Yea I remember him doing a yes chant awhile back and then he had the freaking gull to say you owe me or something to that effect to Bryan.

I don't see how he was a bad actor? He was give poor material to work with? In his YouTube show he was actually good and fun to watch. It's not his fault he wasn't able to make the crappy material WWE gave him to say seem believable.
