Woah woah woah, I was near the curtain for he smackdown show back in April and I saw summer Rae, Matt striker, Titus o'neil and justin grabriel watching the show lol. That makes me wanna cry. Sad to look at the picture honestly, he was doing so well and it just went down hill.

I really dont understand why they just completely killed everything with him. Like what went on behind the scenes? He was getting a good fanbase and could have EASILY been in the spot that Santino holds now...or any other enhancement talent for that matter. But it was like he had his little spotlight moment....a bullcrapUS title run, and then POOF back to jobbersville/no tv matches at all
Ryder is talented. He's not amazing but he has good wrestling ability, and a personality that could make people laugh. His over-the-top schtick is no worse or better than what Santino does and Santino has had a WAAAAY bigger "career" than Ryder. Sadly the ship has sailed, Ryder I'm sure will be around but when his contract is up he'll be gone....joining the Shelton Benjamins, and the Charlie Haas's and the MVPs on the "why did they never really push this guy" line

I personally dont like Ryder so I could care less. TNA should just sign the guy. Most over guy in late 11/12? LOL Name who else got their named chanted in promos and matches they weren't even involved in during late 2011. They chanted for him in all the PPVs, Cena's promos and Rock's promos. Even Cena backed the kid so hard. CM Punk

Zack Ryder should get a push, a small push, like mid card push, not barely on TV push.

most over guy on the roster in late '11/'12 I think there's a little revisionist history going on here. Was he over? Sure. "Most over guy on the roster"...? Maybe not most over, but damn near close. His first shirt was on back-order for awhile, it took me at least a month and a half before I could order one because it was always sold out. Not to mention the "We Want Ryder" chants at every show, even chanting it over The Rock in MSG. It's shame how horribly they misused him and ruined ZTLIS in the process.

why don't they put him back him hawkins him back him Hawkins? if they teamed them back up it wouldn't do much if the company doesn't back them. It could give them a bit of TV time but ultimately they will drop back and never be seen again.

I'm really curious as to how in demand he'd be on the indies if he were released

Are we really trying to downplay Ryder getting chants during The Rock's promo at Survivor Series? I know they were in New York, but The ing Rock was talking and being interrupted by Ryder chants. There were nearly 17,000 people in that arena, and at least half of them were chanting Ryder's name in that moment, probably more than half imo. I'm not going to say Ryder was the most over guy in the company at that time, I'd comfortably say that was Punk. However, Ryder was a top 5 babyface leading into Mania 28. When I went to Mania that year, you could buy Rock, Cena, CM Punk and Zack Ryder gear at the merch booth. Think about how much merch he would of had to be moving around that time to get that kind of treatment, and be saddled along with those 3 other guys.

LOL at the caption.
Poor dude.
He should have had a good US Title reign and probably 1-2 more mid card reigns by now.

Really? In 2014 people are still clamoring for a Zack Ryder push? No thank you. His stale, irritating gimmick can go. Dude was brutal to watch during the whole Kane/Eve/Cena debacle.

Honestly...
Ryder kinda did himself in once they started featuring him in segments and giving him mic time.
The dude couldn't act.

The WWE knows who they want to push, whether the fans like it or not. Vince will make us like the guy he's pushing, and ignore the guys we wanna see be pushed. Zack Ryder wasn't on Vince's list of guys. It could be said Daniel Bryan isn't either. They gave Ryder the US Title to please the fans and then took it off him just as fast. They gave Bryan the WWE Title - twice - and had it taken off of him by the following day both times. Vince wants us to cheer Kofi Kingston on, and John Cena, and Big E. Langston. Just follow what Vince wants, and you will all be happy. You pointed out the exact problem: fans don't know who to support. Today's main eventer could be tomorrow's dark match. Ryder is only one of the victims of WWE's "push, then bury" syndrome. That kills the feeling of anything important happening.
