People who claim they suck at something that they're clearly good at Good and bad are subjective. I uploaded a cover version of Backstreet Boy's "I Want It That Way" in the Banter thread and the reception of my voice was positive, but I sounded awful to myself. I don't think it makes me a bad person because I hear the faults in my voice while others look past it. Not only that, but creative people tend to hold themselves to a higher standard than others. This "I could do better" mentality is what makes them strive to continue learning and training rather than become complacent. I understand that but let's say someone bowls a perfect game three times in a row. Them they say "I suck at bowling." That's what I mean.

That a$$hole who decided that a pine cone soaked in cinnamon & oil would make a festive Christmas scent. Eff you! That stench is unbearable!
And probably that same a$$hole who came up with the flavor "salted caramel". You sick bastard! Why would you do this? What's next? Ketchup flavored ice cream?!

The social media age and society's fascination, nay, obsession with it. Constantly having to deal with people's irritating cell phone habits make me want to implant said phone directly into one of their orifices.

I wouldn't say under any circumstances, but I do agree with the sentiment. There are certain times I do feel it's okay, such as the Patti Smith song, in which the point was to rebrand the term as a badge of honor, or Harper Lee's use of it in To Kill a Mockingbird.

Well I probably could have been more clear. I mean in a recreational or casual setting under any circumstances. I agree with the examples you gave. What I don't agree with is the "you guys say it all the time, why can't we?". Like, are you really that dense as to why it's not a term one should go around saying? Is it a double standard? Absoultely. But it doesn't change the fact that it'll never be okay for a white person to just blurt it out.

But the fact is, as with anything, acting like it doesn't exist does nothing. Now it ain't the 60's out there but I'm not gonna sit and act like since everyone can vote and drink from the same water fountain that everyone's on a level playing field. I wish it weren't a "thing" either, but it is and always will be. And for the record, I'm referring to racism in all forms, against all ethnicities. I hate America's general mentality towards Arabs and Hispanic people too.
