Buy who you like and want translation not every figure, unless you have the space and can afford it.

The thrill of collecting when you first start is exciting. It begins to taper off once you've collected everyone you want and you've set limits for yourself.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I started right around Christmas because I found a Seth Rollins elite in tru. I thought it would be cool to get The Shield elites and now I'm somewhere north of 40 elites. I've started to taper off now that I have a lot of what I want. I'm trying to stay current with it so I bought a complete set of e26. It's hard not to spend when you first start but try and be patient and look for decent deals. Don't overspend... Unless it's something you really want!

My method is to ask my wife if it's okay if I buy something, then pout when she says no. This, exactly.

I only buy figures a like therefore I don't spend a lot. I think the most figures I've bought out of the same series is 3.

I buy figs when I can. I don't have to buy every figure out of every series. I just try and buy every Ambrose figure aswell as if a figure really stands out like E27 Fandango.

First time figures are hard to find. For example, Fandango & Big E's figures are their 1st ones so will be difficult to get. i seen both of them at target, they were like 4 of each

I make lists and determine who is more important and who I could live without. Because of this I cherry pick and can afford to keep slowly building up my collection. I usually only get one of each Wrestler unless.. 1. I really really like the character such as Bret Hart, HBK, Warrior or Macho Man. 2. There is a very drastic change in appearance.
IE I was warming up to the idea of making customs of some old figures but realized I'd end up spending more than I can afford if I didn´t reign myself in so I made a list of who the most important wrestlers were to me by era (every 5 years in WWE since 85) and will only go for the characters that have a slimmer chance of being made.

When I started collecting, I was out of control. As my collection has grown, I have gotten MUCH more selective about what I spend money on. I'm 30, with a wife and two jobs, so I don't have near enough time to hunt like I'd like to, but I did score a basic 36 Fandango yesterday at Fry's. If you have one in your area, I highly recommend them. They ALWAYS seem to have stuff...

Put yourself on a budget. Only spend what you deem necessary. You don't want to go out of control and buy everything you see (as much as you'd like to). Just buy the ones you like, and make sure your bills are paid before anything. When I started I got sucked into the thrill of the hunt and checked stores almost daily. Now I only really search if I know that there's something out there that I really like, and I feel like I *need* to hunt for it. THIS is what I do!

I dont really set a budget. I try to buy the figures of my favorites (HBK, Warrior, Bret, Savage, Taker, Punk, Kofi, etc) unless I just dont like the attire choice or have one really similar. Then I'll pick up mostly Flashbacks and the occasional current roster guys that I want. But I try to keep it narrowed down to just the ones that I really want. Then if I catch a time when I've got extra money I'll pick up some of my lesser wanted characters/figures. I dont think I've ever bought a full series, but came close with both Elte 7 and Elite 23.
I usually base my figure buying on how many I've purchased recently. As I said earlier, I try to just buy the ones I really want. So for instance if I just bought the newest Elites of Kofi, Punk, Taker, and Macho, I probably wont buy the Elite Fandango that I see later that week cause I've already spent alot on figures. However if theres not a lot of figures coming out the are must haves for me, I may buy some of the other characters that I would probably pass on if I had already spent a lot on figure that month.

I like to buy my elites at retail if i can just to keep the market competitive. The day we all have no other choice but the internet would be a sad day, i still love walking down the toy aisles just like i did when i was a kid.
Just keep within your budget man and enjoy!

First off make sure all your bills are paid. I put myself on a tight $25.00 budget everytime i get paid. I figure this will help me get the figures i really want and not just buy a figure for the heck of it.
I usually buy one elite at a time. I figure if it is ment for me to have it then i will find the rest later on.

i'm 36, with a wife and a kid and one on the way. 90% of my collection is legends or flashbacks. i've actually kept my collection going by selling off some of the junk in my house. my wife actually considers it a win, since i am cleaning out things she thought i would keep forever. i keep my collection to one room and subsidize it predominantly with the money i make off of selling things. i try to at least keep that level.
if you have the means, you enjoy it and it doesn't impact other areas of your life, go on and collect away. i've enjoyed my collection so much, i've begun to work on customs to fill in my "roster blanks." do what you enjoy.

Welcome to the game.
Does sound like you are going a bit overboard with your hunts. Multiple times a day at the very least is probably not effective. You will soon find that most stores rarely stock their shelves let a lone multiple times a week or day for that matter. I mean if you add up the gas money at that point it might be better for you to just shop online. Right here at ring side collectibles! Have a nice day!

If you're spending more than you can afford it's unhealthy
