The house I used to live in would always get birds sucked into the floo (hey, thanks for that Harry Potter) and most of the time they could not get themselves out because of the air current so I would have to chase them out of the boiler room into the main living area and either chase it into the sun room with the no screen door or get it into a curtain and cup it and take it to said room. I have a feeling more than a few have died in there that I could not get to, or wandered into the vents...I know the feeling.

So here's a fun one for you to all chuckle at at my expense. My wife texts me on my way home tonight and tells me there's a funky smell coming from the a/c. I get home around 6, and other than a brief pause for dinner, spend the next 3 and 1/2 hours tearing through my house trying to rule out possibilities. Unit itself is running fine. I check every electrical outlet and socket in the house. No dice. None of 'em are hot to the touch. Smell only happens when the a/c runs, but I source it to a storage room in the den. Up into the drop ceiling I go. Panel 1 - nothing. Panel 2 - nothing. Panel 3 - a bunch of withered, dried up drops of mouse sh*t. I haven't found a corpse yet, but I'm hedging my bets on a deceased, unwelcome house guest. Home ownership is fun. I found a family of possums in my crawl space. Never had more fun shooting scavengers before. |

You know what WFWF needs? More prominent, full blown faces. I understand how much easier it is to write a badass, take no prisoners heel, but man does this place have some imbalance. Even when we do get a "good guy", he's marked as a tweener. It's almost like people know they'll degenerate into heel tactics, so they tack that tweener label on as a safety net.
I'm gonna create a face.

That's why you get feuds like Schneider/Kyzer and Schneider/Brennan (I'm an ego  , sue me) where characters are somewhat forced to change because one evil is greater than the other. "Yeah, David Brennan is an alcoholic.. But Schneider sexually assaulted a young girl, crippled his girlfriend, and then attempted to cripple said sexually assaulted young girl" |

Malakai was almost exclusively a baby face my entire run. Jackson was "sickeningly good" as Bishop once said. I could never write a good heel no matter how hard I tried. I like being the good guy.

I can never look at Drakz as a face. Even if he is portraying a babyface, and writing it well, there is just too much history to the character.
Example: CM Punk. Cannot stand the guy, never could, but after his first heel run I just considered him at best a tweener even when he was a big face.
Me and Kyzer actually had a small discussion regarding Drakz's character alignment around SB and I made a similar comment. I could never really look at Kyzer or Trace as faces either. Believe it or not the only one I could see as a face and "believe it" is Schneider, if he played the misunderstood card.

Schneider was a face from the time I returned until the feud with Hutton. Hutton was set that he was a white meat babyface, and I realized it's a lot more fun to write a completely off his rocker maniac heel than a babyface with slightly psychopathic tendencies.

Until the commentary position and Penny Shannon match, Cameron Stone had never been a face, ever, I had never played one, ever. I turned him for the Shannon match, because it needed to be done, and also the litlte moments leading up to it, like running in to save Malakai from time to time, and now, he's full blown face. Still with a slight edge, but a face nevertheless, and it's given me the best RPs I've ever done, because I've gotten into the mental psychological evolution of him transforming into a good, caring person. And the new character I'l be doing is face, right off the bat, which I have no idea how to write or what I'll do, but it was something I wanted to try.

I have never written Kyzer as face here. I have run him as a face elsewhere but it worked there because of my history there. I like writing either way. It is all contingent on the angle and story.

I stayed face because I thought that was where I could fit. I just felt that it was the way to go here. I never thought I could pull off a heel character at that time and I still don't to this day.

I'm more of a "tweener" now than a heel, it gives me the most freedom when it comes to writing.

So here's something fun.
During a a bit of "character study", I came across a series of P.O.D. videos. I was in my freshman year of high school when they debuted that 'Southtown' song, and me and all my stupid nu-metal wannabe hardcore friends fell hard for it. Around the same time, I was being driven and dropped off at the front door of these youth group meetings and retreats ('cause my folks knew I'd skip 'em if left to my own transportation defenses) in hopes that within the year I'd be making the holy sacrament of Confirmation (never happened).
So I wind up at this retreat somewhere in Boonesville, MA, country Nowhere USA with like four other churches, and in addition to groups like dc Talk, the Newsboys, Five Iron Frenzy and all that, these kids are just as hard up for P.O.D. You know why. I know why now.
All us good little mall-goths were so bummed when I returned to school that Monday with this devastating bit of information. It's funny now, 'cause 28-pushing my last birthday ever me can look back, put on one of those songs and go "OK, how the HELL did we not see this a mile and a half away?"
TL;DR - I listened to Marilyn Manson/Coal Chamber in junior high through early high school, which apparently damaged my brain cells enough to not see the writing on the wall in regard to P.O.D.'s lyrics.
