So, this is something I do from time to time, 'cause I'm an accountant and I think Excel is cool.

The only fields I ever have to actually type any data into are the names and the number of writers who showed per match. Everything else is all formulaic. Deadline appears to be tonight, even if Shawn's calendar is broken (it's usually on Saturday anyway). Get writing, Bish.

Does Brennan's liver give out?

We've got quite a bit longer than that haven't we? Well, subjunctive I guess, time always goes by faster for me. The time zones confuse me and I'm relying on pulling an all nighter to get this RP right. But I'm pretty sure even if today is the deadline we've got six hours or so so I should be fine.

Does Brennan's liver give out? Brennan is no longer being covered by the WFWF. Check WFWF.com, son. For serious though, I write ALL the time. Like, some people doodle while they're bored in class/on a conference call/whatever. I write. I've been like that for a looooooooong time. And yeah, after Shawn did his thing and I cleared the path, I wrote a few more things for Brennan, found that most of what Shawn was probably actually mad about was stuff I wrote in character rather than out of, and decided I just didn't like the vibe anymore. I toyed with the idea of creating a new account and doing a new character that way. I came up with three characters, pulled the trigger on a first piece on two of them, and this week I decided "f*ck it", and started typing up a profile for character #3 of my downtime, and #4 overall. I'm pretty excited about it, and it'll actually put me to the test in regard to how I write a voice, as Brennan was more just me on paper, what with the sailor talk and the beer. This next one is something of a "what if", in terms of choices I've made in life ('cause all my characters are a little bit of me on paper). It'll also keep me from mouthing off so damn much...in character, at least.

Should be an interesting read nonetheless.

Should be an interesting read nonetheless. There's actually a segment I wrote - it's still saved on this PC, where Brennan comes off, mouths off about the way the last show went down, exits the arena, and walks right in front of an oncoming bus. Know what, though? Killing characters in anger is stupid. One of the other pieces floating around is a bit I'd use if I ever brought back "Smash" Rodriguez (which I won't), a character I wrote around like '04 or '05, when everyone was riding the high of the Red Sox World Series win up here in the Northeast. I was something like a year or two out of high school at that point, and had zero talent to boot. It was fun giving him a backstory beyond "wears a Red Sox jersey, super face, loves the Red Sox, BostonBostonBoston". One of the characters I came up with is more than not an expansion of a character I wrote around 2000/2001, when I was still in high school. I've got no bones about having written a ton of characters to Obo's having written one. I think longevity is awesome, but I'm the type of writer who can get burnt out way easily on that. It might also help that my favorite book is The Outsiders. S.E. Hinton could have easily churned out six more sequels about the Curtis brothers, but instead, she created more characters in a world around them, which I always thought was cool. Also, I swear, my next character isn't from the Northeast.

Is WFWF on life support? THIS PLACE NEEDS TO GET HYPE! There was a PPV once with like 7 total writers. It's been worse.

I'm still not 100% past the notion that I'm gonna get a fair shake, as it's still me writing a character, but I feel like, in spite of meaning pretty much all of what was said, I went an convoluted the Brennan character too much to go and reel it in.

I wonder how cool this place was when it was full of active writers. Looks like it was amazing.

I wonder how cool this place was when it was full of active writers. Looks like it was amazing. You do realize that this is around the time where school get outs for most of us young ones. Just be glad, there's been times where we've only had two or three people show for a card. Even though I'm not able to write an RP, I'm still doing a promo. We're not all dead. Prince is though.

I wonder how cool this place was when it was full of active writers. Looks like it was amazing. Imagine how cool it was when Me, Mike, Cam and Proggy were the only people who posted RPs for a show almost exactly a year ago. It's really not that bad at the moment. And even in the 'good old days' I don't think the quality of RPs was anywhere near as good as it is from a lot of the top writers here at the moment.
