Back where he belongs. People can talk all the crap they want about him because they are young and never lived through his prime. But the bottom line is that he's the biggest name in the history of the business and if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, none of us would be watching pro wrestling right now because it WOULDN'T EXIST.

Obviously this will be his final run in the WWE and a farewell of sorts. At the age of 60 he is best suited to a guest host role for Wrestlemania 30 and maybe if possible he could do a few body slams , leg drops here and there.
I'd actually like to see him stay around until maybe SummerSlam as Raw GM.

He hasn't been able to do the legdrop in years. I think the last time he did it was against Big Show in 2007.

It's good news for the casual fan and for business. I don't care though. Hogan lost me as a fan a while ago.

Sorry but that 2nd part about pro wrestling not existing without Hogan is bollocks. Hogan made the WWF a huge company but he didn't A) create pro-wrestling and B) he didn't even create the WWF. WWE would likely not be at the level it is now, but pro wrestling would still be a thing if Hogan had never existed. And given this day and age where you can watch pretty much anything anywhere, we would definitely be able to watch wrestling somewhere. Wrestling was doing fine before Hogan came along. Don't get me wrong, he helped take wrestling (more specifically WWE) to a whole new level and credit to him for that.

I really don't think pro wrestling would be half as big as it is today without Hogan. There would be no WrestleMania without Hulkamania. Wrestling made it to the big times because of Hogan.

I wonder what sort of reaction he is going to get this day in age. With all of the internet fans I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a mixed reaction or booed. I know I will be happy to see him, and I can't wait to see who interrupts him for the back and forth. My prediction is the Wyatts with Cena coming out for the save, although I could also see Orton coming out to tell Hogan how much better he is than he ever was..or better yet Lesnar and Heyman with whom Hogan had a brief but crazy history. Either way, everyone knows Hogan is broken down, so it would be a perfect opportunity to give a younger guy the rub by saving Hogan from a battle he couldn't possibly win while still allowing Hogan to look good by giving a couple of punches and a toss out of the ring.

TNA couldn't compete with WWE Never said they could, but Hogan didn't boost TNA's ratings at all. He returns to WWE and everyone gets all excited, I just don't get it. I don't get why TNA doesn't appeal to the general wrestling fan. I think they can it's just their small fanbase

So pumped for this return! Almost as much as I was when he returned the first time in 2002. I still remember that one. I was a senior in high school and went to the RAW in Chicago where The Rock challenged Hogan to a match at WM 18.

I don't get why TNA doesn't appeal to the general wrestling fan. ...actually, Impact did it's highest ever rating when Hogan first came in (a 1.4, I believe) - and did a few high numbers for a while. I wonder what sort of reaction he is going to get this day in age. With all of the internet fans I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a mixed reaction or booed. (The internet was around in 2002-2007 too ). I don't think fans will boo him... even when he was a heel last time (around 2002) he was still getting cheered. People love Hogan in WWE... there's something special/right about it.

And I agree with that. Saying we wouldn't be watching pro wrestling if Hogan didn't come along though is completely baseless. maybe not totally baseless. How many wrestlers went into wrestling because they were fans of Hogan? Would Edge have been as big a fan of someone else and still become a wrestler? or would he have gone into something totally different? Without Hogan, would we be looking at someone else in that same position? like would McMahon gone after Kerry Von Erich, Jerry Blackwell, Rick Martel or Jimmy Valiant? Would the Attitude era have even been noticed if the Hogan era never existed?

It existed before Hogan came along and it's not like it was dying or anything. It was doing fine. Nowhere the level of what is it today (Hogan can take some credit for that) but still, it was around.
