Back where he belongs. People can talk all the crap they want about him because they are young and never lived through his prime. But the bottom line is that he's the biggest name in the history of the business and if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, none of us would be watching pro wrestling right now because it WOULDN'T EXIST. True probably wouldnt have a WWE or Wrestlemania either these were BUILT on the popularity of Hulk Hogan.

I love them both - but I think it's gotta be the "classic" Real American theme. And I will mark out big-time, lol. Hulk Still Rules Voodoo Child theme would be awesome and would be the only way I would mark. Real American, though nostalgic or whatever, is cheesy and ran its course but his fans love it so I'm not expecting it to be Voodoo Child. That having been said I love that people are freaking out with excitement. Sure, getting Mattel figures is one thing but another is acting like the guy hasn't left. He hasn't. He's still been prominently featured in wrestling programming for the better part of 5 or 6 years, some times better than others (as much as some of you hate TNA, his GM acting was far and away better than AJ's, sorry. Made one show much easier to have to suffer through.) nWo Mattel Hogan will be cool, Hulk Still Rules Mattel Hogan will be cool, everything else...business as usual. A guy on a dirt sheet site posted this in the comments, saying it pretty much sums it up. He's pretty much right. Actually, there's a major difference - TNA makes those guys major parts of the weekly product. Hogan, Flair and STONG won't be regular weekly characters nor will WWE build RAW around them.

All I care about are Mattel Hulk Hogan figures. That's a big deal for me too BUT I am looking forward to seeing him back.

Valid point but I guess that comes down to relativity for me. 10 weeks of Hogan (at least doing a better job acting than the current GM) sleepwalking through a role is better to me than a hugely featured 5 minutes of him pandering and being used wasted in a guest star role that not only destroys the legitimacy of his character but forces us to only focus on that 5 minutes at every mention. I'm still of the mind that unless the role is good I'd rather not see them at all.

I'm still of the mind that unless the role is good I'd rather not see them at all. Thing is... (Sting aside) All their history is with the WWE. Sure, and I suppose this goes for everyone, but what good is that history if WWE chooses to ignore it for the most part or pick and choose? They never reference because they're afraid anyone under the age of 17 is too stupid to open a book or watch an old tape (which they're not). New Age Outlaws are an excellent example of doing it the right way. They're still more popular than some of the weaker tag teams presented over the past few years, are playing heel characters and putting in decent, fresh work whatever it may be (in this case, matches.) Hogan blustering through lines in the ring does not make him a multi-time world champion 'returning home,' it makes him a walking, talking commercial and while that's great for PR, it really has no business being so heavily featured on programming. Sure he hasn't been back since but all that does is water down the history that belongs to Hogan. Overexposure is a terrible thing but so is watering something down to the point that it doesn't resemble what it once was.
