Got a box in at work! Sadly, I cant buy them until the 1st. But I hid a few for then! Also, people are saying Shawn they find at retail doesnt have chest hair? These ones do, unless you guys mean stomach and chest hair, than nevermind. What state are you in? Here's why I ask. I went to TRU tonight looking for the WM Elites, not luck. So I took the UPC to the service counter and ask if she could look up the stores in my area(NH) that had them. She did, and then told me that no stores in my area have them. Then it got crazy. She said only two stores in NY have them in inventory. I looked at her like she had 3 heads and said that doesn't make any sense to me. How can that be? She didn't have an answer, and I wasn't expecting her to. Anyway, after a little more chitchat, she asked me if I wanted to order them off the website while I was in the store, so I did(after she said I didn't have to pay shipping). The way I see it, TRU has the lowest Elite price at the moment, plus the extra 15% off, so why run around looking for them only to pay more elsewhere. Plus, it doesn't look like the retail version of Shawn is going to have belly hair, so it doesn't matter where I get it from now. |

I never said it was illegal, or even immoral... I understand.... I'd probably do it too. You said that "it kills you" to have to wait until the 1st.... my response was the "it kills the rest of us" to know that we might be driving around town looking for figures that never even hit the shelf because they were all bought by staff members, or hidden back there somewhere by staff members who might be planning to buy them. I know for a fact that at least two of the employees at my TRU are collectors (or scalpers, I haven't figured it out yet). So I know that anything good that comes in is already picked through at least twice before the customers even get a chance..... that just "kills me." Or, at least - it takes a little of the thrill out of the the hunt.... I rarely find anything good at Toys R Us... and this is the reason why. |

The reason you can't find anything at TRU is that besides BOPPV, we get one case of other things and that's it. And yes, TRU employee scalping is a huge problem. So much in fact, that if anything we buy ends up on ebay for inflated price, we get fired. Chances of catching it are slim, but if we do we get fired. Or so they say.

So then you are admitting that I have a valid point by being mildly irritated that TRU employees buy the good figures before the customers even get a chance.... or at least, TRU agrees with me, because they view it as a "huge problem". I don't start looking until 2 weeks after they are found in CA, because it takes at least that long for the product to cross the country for our regions warehouse to receive them. I know my local store had a truck this morning so if the warehouse had received them before yesterday they would be on this mornings truck. But as of Wednesday our area warehouse still hadn't received them yet. |

You're just validating my point. No, you misunderstood. If we buy it for ourselves, it isnt a problem. I bought two of each, but they are for me personally. SoI dont see your point, sorry. Two will be displayed loose, two MOC. 0 on eBay, so.....im good. |
