So then you are admitting that I have a valid point by being mildly irritated that TRU employees buy the good figures before the customers even get a chance.... or at least, TRU agrees with me, because they view it as a "huge problem". You're just validating my point. No, you misunderstood. If we buy it for ourselves, it isnt a problem. I bought two of each, but they are for me personally. SoI dont see your point, sorry. Two will be displayed loose, two MOC. 0 on eBay, so.....im good. Besides, being able to buy toys is one of the perks of working in a toy store. I doubt they're paying you all that well since it's retail, so perks are important. I see absolutely no problem with you buying for your collection before the customers. If you were scalping, on the other hand, I'd gather a posse and arm them with pitchforks and torches. |

And ya, TRU corporate sees it as a problem. TRU corporate also doesnt care if I bought mine for personal use. If my district manager came in and say me buying four and I say they are all for me, he would say thank you for giving the store sales. I did nothing wrong, employees before have. Is that your point? Than cool I guess.

The reason you can't find anything at TRU is that besides BOPPV, we get one case of other things and that's it. I put 2 away for me, and actually about ten minutes ago I put the other 6 in the case on the shelf. No, you misunderstood. If we buy it for ourselves, it isnt a problem. I'm equally upset with the distribution numbers as I am that employees are walking out with 50% or more of what's brought in.... |

What they care about is looking good and making money, and they can't make money if they never have anything on the shelves. That is the only reason they don't want employees scalping. They couldn't care less about the morality of it. |

I get where you're coming from. Sorry for jumping on you like that. This is the second thread this week where I don't necessarily disagree with what they did - but I kind of wish they didn't broadcast it on here. Telling us all a story like this doesn't make the poster look like a successful figure hunter - it just serves to piss the rest of us off.... Some of us drive around for days, trying to get to these stores when they open, going to the stores in strategic order, just hoping as we walk to the toy department that the staff will have bothered to put something new out today - hearing that the staff bought them up just frustrates us hard-working collectors. This guy just showed up for work and grabbed the figures before anyone even had a chance - it's just frustrating. |
