Where did you read that? I haven't seen that reported anywhere. Just curious. I've read Punk was mad that he got bumped from the match for Daniel Bryan. And then he would have fought Kane or somebody? I don't know. We had heard Punk/HHH and Bryan/Sheamus - which nobody wanted - and then plans were changed to put Bryan against Hunter. And the rumored Lesnar/Taker, Cena/Wyatt, and Batista/Orton matches have all become fact. I just haven't heard anything about Hunter taking the loss - and it just doesn't fit his M.O. You're right. Triple H never does anything for anybody. He only lost 2 years in a row to Undertaker, lost the Lesnar feud, and did an angle where he was physically unable to continue a match against Curtis Axel.....yup, Triple H has to have it be all about him all the time. The plan all along was Triple H losing to CM Punk. Daniel Bryan was going to go heel, but when CM Punk started getting his panties in a wad they hit the abort on the Daniel Bryan joining the Wyatt Family because somebody needed to be the one fighting the Authority. You seriously NEVER wondered why Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatt's for a week and then it awkwardly ended and then he went right back into the "getting screwed by Triple H" story? Come on, man, get with the program. Turning Bryan Heel was never going to work in the first place. The idea they would make their top babyface a heel for the stupidest of reasons should have gotten who ever suggested it fired. This is prime example of why they need to fire anyone who never worked in the wrestling business and only hire bookers who actually know the nature of what wrestling is all about.

Maybe Punk will return to save Bryan from a beating by Trips and Kane Tag team match for Mania? I think Kane is definitely Mania worthy Waste 2 of their top wrestlers in a tag match against 2 past their prime wrestlers? Is this Vince posting?

I was thinking along the lines of how poorly things have been booked recently. Wouldn't surprise me at all if there is a strong push for the Authority to be featured in non filler matches. I cannot see Triple H tagging in Mania though.

You're right. Triple H never does anything for anybody. He only lost 2 years in a row to Undertaker, lost the Lesnar feud, and did an angle where he was physically unable to continue a match against Curtis Axel.....yup, Triple H has to have it be all about him all the time. LOL at losing to Undertaker and his streak at WM as anything remotely resembling giving back to the business or whatever you're trying to spin that into. It was all about him getting huge matches at 'Mania when in reality, there were other guys that really could have used the rub a lot more than H. He wasn't even a full-time performer during those times. Also worth noting that H beat Lesnar in the middle of the ring at 'Mania last year in what must be the most forgettable match of that entire show. And seriously, who was buying a ticket to watch him win, and why wouldn't he, in his selfless, infinite wisdom, beat the most expensive wrestler on the roster instead of doing the job for him at the biggest show of the year? And did you watch the match against Axel? It was five awkward minutes of H totally dominating Axel. The only selling he was doing was selling an injury he already had going into the match. Axel looked much worse after that match than he did going into it. Bottom line is, H is still the same selfish, slow, bloated, photoshopped, orange H that thinks he's one of the biggest stars of all-time because he booked himself to be on top and to win a dozen world titles in feuds that often embarrassed, buried, and ruined the drawing power of his opponents. I have no doubt that he would have beaten Punk at Wrestlemania, and I am nervous that he's going to beat Bryan now instead, after spending the next 5 weeks burying him as a flash in the pan, internet famous indie wrestling darling who doesn't have what it takes to hang in the ring with Orton, Batista, Sheamus, Undertaker, and H himself. You are you aware Taker picks his own opponents right? He hand picked HBK & Hunter four years in a row because HE felt they were two of the best in ring performers. No conspiracy theories there. Axel was jobbing on Saturday Morning Slam 3 weeks before being in the ring with Triple H live on Raw. How would anyone believe he made that quick of a turn around? If Axel could compete with Triple H right off the bat, then he wouldn't have needed Heyman's guidance. Heyman was supposed to be taking a guy who had the ability but was missing something and helping him mold it. Common sense storyline wise.

I'm so tired of the superiority complex that has popped up among members on this board who think they are somehow more enlightened or that their opinion is more valid because they don't like CM Punk or don't want to see Daniel Bryan as champion. That goes for the polar opposite extreme regarding Bryan as well. It's sickening.
At the end of the day, we still don't have a damn clue what happened with Punk. We probably won't know. People can continue to judge the guy and say he's a prick and he's a joke and people are stupid for still supporting him, whatever the case may be. What if he and Vince came to amicable terms? What if if Vince granted him time off? What if they had a squabble and decided it was best he walked away for a while? Maybe he did walk out in dramatic fashion, threw a fit and shut off contact. I don't know. We don't know. We have no idea. Any attempt to try to explain what happened is nothing more than speculation, and until we hear something from either Punk or McMahon, it will all continue to be speculation.
This community has never been so snippy and arrogant, and it's getting old fast.

The Wyatt storyline was cut short because Bryan was starting to gain mainstream attention and WWE wasn't going to have him in a backwoods costume during it. You two both need to shut up as neither of you know what you are talking about and it is really annoying. What are you even talking about? Bryan was "starting to gain mainstream attention"? Over the two weeks the heel turn lasted? Telling us to shut up and then saying something completely illogical and moronic ain't cool.

Like I said last time we had a Punk thread. I'm just here reading everyone argue. It's still as entertaining as the first time. After tonight this thread will probably die out.

Wait, people think they turned Bryan from the Wyatts because Punk left? Do you not realize he did that two weeks before the Royal Rumble?

Their plan form the get go was obviously having Bryan joining the Wyatt Family so he could at some point get his hands on Bray. During the week after Bryan joining the Wyatt Family, Michigan State did the Yes Chant and ESPN and a bunch of other sports journals (even WWE) gave insight as to what the Yes Chant was/is and where it came from. As a result, WWE rushed to the end of the angle when it could have gone on for another few weeks. It had nothing to do with the fans reaction (as they were expecting the fans to push even harder for Bryan) or CM Punk leaving (especially this as the WWE hadn't changed the plans for Triple H vs Punk yet).

I think Vince's mindset is one where he judges how over a guy is, less by wwe crowd reaction, and more by the general mainstream reaction to a star. Remember the "fandangoing" thing from last year? Live audiences weren't making a big fuss over it, but the minute non wrestling audiences were doing it Vince tried to make it a big deal on Raw. As soon as it became appearant that it was not gonna be a big deal on his shows they stopped with "the whole world is fandangoing" stuff and jumped off the Fandango bandwagon. I'm sure if mainstream kept doing it and the WWE crowd bought into it, Fandango would probably be IC champ by now just because of that.

Of course I can't know for sure, but I still believe that's where they were going. If the fandangoing thing would have caught on and stayed (post concussion ) he probably still would have got the belt after a couple months back. But neither the WWE crowd and certainly the mainstream crowd gave a damn by that point.

If CM Punk and Vince McMahon came to some sort of mutual agreement that Punk could have this sabbatical, and left it on good terms, then I think it may be in the best interest for everyone to have Punk show on Raw tonight just to address the situation and put the fans minds at rest. He may not even need to go into detail, just tell everyone that he's taking a much needed break. There wont be a better opportunity than in Chicago.

It was being covered by ESPN and multiple sports journals. WWE was finally getting mainstream attention for someone other than Cena. Do you really think WWE would be stupid enough to not realize how the fans were going to react? Do you really think that WWE just coincidentally had Bryan turn back the first RAW after the Michigan state incident? If you do, you might want to try being a lot less dogmatic.
