THE STREAK ENDED BECAUSE TAKER IS OLD AND PROB WONT WRESTLE AGAIN. God damn people. More then likely it's his choice to go out like this. Give it up on the Sting and Cena crap already. Wrestling Observer even reported that when Brock was resigned Taker wanted him to be the one to break the streak because Taker respects Brock as a legitimate bad ass and tough guy. Being reported on the internet + pure opinion = facts. Vintage WF.

Why would anyone want Cena and Undertaker? How would that match work anyway? Would they just toss themselves around the ring for 30 minutes, both hit their comebacks, and then just disappear? That'd be the worst match. Well, other than Sting and Taker

All over this board people bitch about Cena winning or being in main event matches but they want this?! Please tell me the reaction wouldn't be worse if Cena broke it. People are pissed he beat Wyatt and you can't even compare him with Taker!

I don't disagree with you, regarding people freaking out like this is the worst thing that's ever happened. I'm just not too keen on telling people to stop reacting however they want. That's the beauty of it. Like I said, regardless if you've been a fan since the early 70s to just the last couple of weeks, this is one of the most shocking and surprising moments. One of the few moments in an industry where keeping the future "under wraps" gets harder each day, where the whole world stood there with not a clue of what to think. Wrestling would be SO boring if everyone just took it for the "reality" behind everything. There's this unwritten stigma with just enjoying wrestling in the same fashion as you did before you knew it was "all pre-planned". And this is one of those rare moments where it almost doesn't matter if it was pre-planned or not. It's just as shocking to everyone.

I just don't like the whole WWE raped mu child hood vibe some people are throwing out there with this. This is a moment that will live forever and I'm personally more pissed I wasn't there to see it then that it happened.

I just don't get it. Why did brock prevail and win? He has been in and out of the wwe for years, and is already getting old as well .why not give it to John cena or an upcoming star like roman reigns to define that individual. But brock, why? I guess undertaker is done, but I'm not so sure

So... say Rock never got hurt and they went along with Rock/Brock for Mania, are we looking at 22-0 or 21-1 to somebody else?

I guess undertaker is done, but I'm not so sure I wonder if Undertaker wanted to put Bryan over. I remember earlier reports saying that he wanted to work with Bryan this year, but since Bryan was booked to win the title, Brock was 2nd choice maybe. That's just my guess.

I love taker... I will always be a mark for what he had done in the ring, and how he has been outside of the ring. If that is the end of the Deadman, I'm sure it was Takers decision and I respect that.
However... Even if that wasn't Taker's last match, I still think having the streak broken was a good thing, and here is why.
Before, the build up to most of takers Wrestlemania matches have been pretty epic... But can that really be said for the last few years? The last great build up was WM 27 vs HHH...
WM 28's build up centred around Taker wanting revenge, and proving it by getting a hair cut.
WM 29's build up was heading in disaster before Bearer's passing... And that didn't do too much to salvage it.
WM 30 barely had a build up.
The streak and the predictable outcome I feel hampered the build up for the matches. Now there is a bit more freedom when it comes to the buildup of Taker's Wrestlemania matches...
And also... Sure he won't go into the hall of fame with 'undefeated at Wrestlemania', but what it will say is '21 consecutive victories at wrestlemania'... And that's still pretty damn good
(sorry if this was a little incoherent, trying to type on a small phone)

the only other human being on the roster that could end the streak and "get away with it" would be Cena he's already got his place in wrestling history established, and even though we all would boo...we'd know the reasons why they did it and just have to deal with it
over the years the Streak became bigger than almost anything in the business. if they blew it on a guy like cody rhodes or wade barrett or even daniel bryan, that superstar would have never recovered from the fan backlash at ending something so sacred & amazing
remember we're dealing with FAKE here...this isn't real life, it doesnt matter that brock "should have" beaten a 50 year old man...the entire purpose of professional wrestling is to make you (the fan) believe that ANYTHING can happen by that logic (lesnar should beat a 50 year old man cuz he's bigger and stronger) than Bryan should never have made it past the opener, Hogan should have never slammed Andre, HBK should never have beat Diesel
Wrestling is about STORIES. Not real life.
Just because in life no one can ever be undefeated, doesn't mean that in a scripted form of entertainment a guy can't be. Its not like Undertaker never lost a match ever. This was 21/22 matches at one pay per view and hell he took a year off in between a few! This is just something that was created, and should have been preserved.
The Undertaker is already one of the all time greatest performers in the history of the industry. With 50 guys holding 50 titles a year, there really isn't much left in wrestling that could be considered "special". This whole streak thing was absolutely one of the biggest things to ever happen, and it just plain and simply should NOT have ended that way.
ESPECIALLY when the guy ending it has no business doing that. Because in the end it does nothing for Brocks WWE career, it destroys the ONE thing Undertaker had over every other superstar, and really did crush a LARGE portion of the fanbase that always joked about the streak ending, but deep down inside never really wanted it to. No matter how bad Undertaker looked in the ring.

No way in hell Cena could "get away with it."
Look at all the people pissed off he beat Bray because "he didn't need it."
Now imagine the internet exploding if Cena broke it. Yeah. It'd be terrible.

It kinda makes sense now as to why the commentators were so dead during the match..they knew the streak was gonna end obviously and just had no words to say because they knew it was coming throughout the match Yeah i think what you say is true... But maybe Undertaker Wants his streak to end !!! www.examiner.com/article/wwe-sources-undertaker-wants-his-undefeated-streak-to-end That was a shocking moment for the wwe universe !!!!
