The 4 minutes of Batman capturing Deadshot and Harley in Suicide Squad is the best content DC has been able to create with this new universe imo. It's horrendous we're not getting a solo Affleck movie. He's the most comic accurate Batman casting to-date imo, by a pretty significant margin. I wanted a Jason Todd/Under the Red Hood adaption so badly.

With the Scott Snyder and Greg Capello run on Batman being the best thing I've read in years in regards to a comic, I wish they would adapt Zero Year into a trilogy so we can finally have a badass Riddler on the silver screen.

Did Affleck ever say he was actually not playing Batman any more? I thought it was everyones understanding that this role was always going to be a younger Batman and not tied into the DCEU so they had to cast someone else? Maybe I missed it cause I honestly didnt look hard but Ive never seen anything where Affleck has said he was never playing Batman again.

He hasn’t officially come out and said “I’m no longer Batman.” He only tweeted that he looks forward to seeing The Batman. But from what’s being reported he’s hanging up the cape. I’m a huge fan of his and hope he does return to the role one more time but after this latest report and the past two years I think Ben is done for good. |

Ben Affleck was on the Jimmy Kimmel Show last night and confirmed he’s retired as Batman.
Wasted potential. When it was first reported that he was writing a script similar to “The Raid: Redemption” but with it taking place within Arkham I was all for it. I’m down for Reeves more “noir” style movie but Affleck’s vision would have rocked.

I really enjoyed Affleck as Batman.
Him vs the Russians during BvS are my favourite parts. Its a pity about the portrayal in JL....he was also very good in Suicide Squad. Sucks that they teased so much of him vs Leto over 2 movies and now we wont see it.

So I just watched Green Lantern for the first time and I sat down expecting seriously the worst movie in history... And it... Didn't even suck?
Other than the Nolan Batman trilogy, this was by far the best DC movie. What the sh't?

I think it's a mistake to "reboot" it. Just continue on from the original story and do something new.

James Gunn is doing it as a full reboot, it's why Deadshot and Harley will be similar but different. They're using Birds of Prey to reboot some of Harleys story. Idris Elba is also most likely replacing Will Smith. Completely new roster, and apparently doing one of Deadshots good stories.

They did some advanced screenings of Shazam in select theaters yesterday. I bought tickets and really, really enjoyed it. A lot of fun. Make sure to see it early to not have a couple fun things spoiled, as I am sure a few things will pop up in trailers once it has been out a few weeks.

I like the trailer. I think it'll be a great movie. Much better than the few DC movies that came out recently. Or the ones I saw anyways. I didn't see Wonder Woman or Suicide Squad but saw the rest. Not a fan of that Aquaman movie.
