Support is good. I like this idea. Even if we don't have a 'contest' we can/should at least have a support thread for health and fitness. I don't want to go into too much detail or get too mopey, but basically I'm kinda battling binge eating disorder right now (have been doing so off and on since 2012), but it has gotten out of hand recently. Really out of hand. I was 232.0 last Friday, and I was 236.5 yesterday. My lowest adult weight was 205.5 in July 2012. This weight basically floated around 220 since January 2013. I dipped down to 209 for like, a week in early April because I was able to actually get into a caloric deficit for two weeks. I consider myself very knowledgeable on fitness and nutrition.. but I need to practice what I preach. It's really starting to hit my self confidence. I'm overweight and overfat. I am. I'm not in the shape I want to be. I look like I don't even lift. I'm not that strong (after about 2 years of shoddily programmed lifting I am at the lower end of intermediate), and my upper body is smaller in proportion to my former fatty legs (doing SL 5x5 and squatting 3 times a week from January to May didn't help that, either, but I drank the R/Fitness Kool Aid of 'don't make your own program you ing noob and go do SS or SL'). I'm doing a perhaps more traditional 4-per-week homemade 'bro split' program to accommodate my lack of equipment at home. I've developed a much more 'flexible' dieting approach (also perhaps known as IIFYM), and found that I feel much better when I'm not 100% obsessed with "clean" eating. I no longer consider myself paleo, but my base diet is still 'whole foods' with a lot of meat, eggs, and vegetables. Higher carbs than I used to eat, too (going low carb often lead to binging). Example of flexible dieting: instead of eating a slice of pizza and saying 'hey I better eat as much pizza as I can because I won't be able to eat it for a while' and then end up eating two entire large pizza place pizzas on one night (yes, it happened, at a free pizza party at school last December), I will allow myself to eating these foods in a regular fashion. Planning to eat 3 slices of pizza or something is a lot better than telling myself I won't eat any of such a "dirty" food and then binging. So, yeah, that was longer than I wanted it to be. But I'm in.

I'm currently trying to gain some weight back. I was at 200 last thanksgiving, I dropped down to 180 and I was happy with my body as I was finally putting on muscle mass. This month I got mono and I dropped over 20 pounds (unintentionally) and I'm currently at 157 (I'm also 6'3) I'm still feeling exhausted from the mono so I can't get myself into the gym just yet but I hope to get back to 180 once I can finally start lifting and eating normal again.

I'm 6'0 and about 175 lbs. I need to lose about 15 in fat over the summer , then I'd like to tone up a bit. Basically I'm just gonna cut out pop (except one bottled root beer a week) and run. I live in the country so I'm just gonna run all over the place.

Discipline is key. Eat less while avoiding unhealthy/fast food. Start with walks, then eventually light jogging. (At least 20-30 minutes a day) I promise you'll start losing weight.
Edit: as others have mentioned, AVOID SODA and drink lots of WATER instead, even during meals.

Water, drink plenty of it. You'd be surprise how much cutting out pop and koolaid or whatever you drink can do for you!

Went from 217 to 160 in the last 10 months, the thing you need to do is keep the binge to 1 day and match it with at least 3 really good work out/diet days. Never have back to back binge days and you will slowly but surely lose it regardless...... Not sure if your problem is the exact same if you're losing weight while I'm ballooning. To the bold- nah. I'm going to go ahead and avoid binge eating in general.. even if it means eating 'dirty' foods in planned, controlled portions and/or planning to eat slightly more in order to stay satiated (though still, of course, staying in a deficit). Same in the sense of having to binge eat but yea if you can just stay clean and do controlled portions of unhealthy food I would say thats a much better plan, isnt easy but you will lose much quicker if you can pull it off. If I may give you some foods to add to your diet that you may or may not know of that have worked real well for me: Brown Rice, Fish (as nasty as fish is I usually lose the most on fish days especially Salmon), Black/green tea at least once a day (speeds up your metabolism), of course chicken/lean meats, hard boiled eggs, Low sugar Greek Yogurts are amazing and have more protein then eggs with zero fat...and the newest thing I have learned is poring some Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in your water (works kinda of like coffee/green tea but its way more effective and helps suppress your appetite on top of the raised metabolism)..

Now I lost almost all of my muscle mass, right when I was starting to really get some results. It's demoralizing and extremely frustrating when you work so hard to achieve a goal and when it's finally within arms reach I get hit with a awful sickness that causes me to be stuck in bed for a whole month and throwing up if I eat any REAL food and causes me to have a major set back. Why would you hate the fact that I'm trying to gain weight? In the end we have the same goal..look and feel the best we possibly can from a physical and mental standpoint.
