A nice, long, slow build....I love it. Do you also love the idea of a champion that shows up one night a month? The only way I'm OK with this is if Brock defends at EVERY PPV. Otherwise we have no world champion for over 6 months. I was only referencing the Reigns story.....not Lesnar. I DO NOT believe Lesnar will win the title at SS. If Lesnar ever does take the title, I could only see it happening at Elimination Chamber. |

I'm not set out to take a shot at you, but I have noticed that every single time Punk is mentioned, you're there to say something about him and I never bothered to say anything to you because it wasn't worth it. Don't mind Reigns main eventing, what I do mind is Lesnar holding the belt from Aug/Sept till Wrestlemania, with his handful of appearances, what happens to Elimination Chamber as Reigns will probably win the rumble

My question is, will they even bother to question themselves if this Reigns/Trips match bombs hard? I have a good feeling Orton can carry Reigns to a respectable match but I just don't know if H still has it in him. If it bombs they should really wait on a WM main event, you don't main event when you have to be carried.

But with that being said, I don't think he's near as good as he, and WWE thinks. But if they put Reigns in that Bryan type of role where he fights the machine, it may work. I think they're pissing it away by not having it at Summerslam. Now, since I'll probably be at the NOC since it's in Nashville, I won't mind seeing Reigns vs H, but LA is a much better atmosphere for a Reigns H match. But I think Orton can carry reigns to a great match, I think Reigns H will be a lot like the H and Lesnar first two matches, it'll be a lot of barking, but not a whole lot if biting |

Well in typical WWE fashion they'll draw it out and then when it comes it really won't be as special as it would have been 3 months prior. I think H/Reigns will probably be similar to Brock's matches with him. But if Brock and Reigns main event mania there is no way that works because Lesnar needs someone who can bump for him, and someone who can work well because he's just a monster now. I can't see Brock ragdolling to the spear and superman punch, nor can I see Reigns getting dominated for the whole match. And the absolute last thing I want is a replay of the Cena match where it would be one sided so Reigns can get breath and then 4 moves and pin.

I like Reigns a lot, but I can't ever see him being THE face of the company. He could be the next Orton or Batista - aka the guy who plays second fiddle to Cena. They still haven't found or built a Cena replacement yet though

I'm fine with Roman Reigns getting a push. He has the look, he gets decent to great reactions. He has a few moves in his moveset that gets the crowd to pop. He'll be fine. They aren't pushing him down our throats like Cena...................yet. WWE has to let him get over without shoving him down our throats, cause lord knows we need as many people as possible to get over so we aren't stuck with Cena in the title picture after they get these guys over. He can look dominate, but he can't look too dominate where the fans begin to s*** on him. The fans aren't turning on him........yet, so WWE has got to make sure that doesn't happen. He's got a great future in him, but WWE can't not f*** that up by overly shoving him down our throats.

Reigns could be pushed/put in the same position as a Sheamus or Del Rio VERY easily. I could see that.
I doubt Lesnar holds the title from SS until Wrestlemania. That would be a ridiculous mistake, since he only works a few times a year. It was stupid when the Rock did it and that was only for 3 months.
I don't think Reigns is good enough to be a Sheamus. He has no personality. There's nothing about him that the audience connects with. Yeah he jumps 3 feet in the air and kicks the guy on the outside of the ring. He yells a lot and does a spear.
He's still very basic in the ring...and he doesn't really cut good promos.
Maybe it's just because I prefer other guys, but I've been a wrestling fan for over 20 years, I just don't see how Reigns should be in this spot over other guys who have more talent and more charisma that he will ever have.

I halfway agree with you. Reigns hasn't proven himself great on the mic. But Sheamus isn't a main event player in my estimation. They're about equal in skill. But Reigns has one thing over him, a marketable look. Like it or not, chicks dig him man. Just like they dig Cena. Honestly I'm hard-pressed to find a guy in modern WWE who could unseat Cena. The one thing they need is "Charisma." The other members of the Shield might have it, time will tell. Bray Wyatt definitely has it. Barrett might. But they lack other things to make a total package like a Cena, Austin, Rock, HBK, etc. Ziggler would be great but he can't cut a promo. Who in your opinion could take that spot? |
