Because they know that we are sick of seeing the same crap. Or because when Vince gets a hard on for a guy he jumps him straight to the top. That sentence made no sense. Can you clear that up for me, man?

How can you predict a "new face of the company" anyway? Dean Ambrose is out popping him by a country mile AND easily one of the best talkers on the mic. He has that "Stone Cold" vibe to him that i can see making him a huge deal in the coming years.
Someone above called it spot on, Reigns is one of those next generation Batista/Orton guys.

When Vince likes you, he puts you on top. Whether you have the skills to be there or not. See: del rio and sheamus. And soon to be roman.

To those saying give him an IC or US title run before this: It would be pointless. Those titles used to be stepping stones, but now they are simply props. They rarely get defended and aren't made to look prestigious. It's not like the old days where the number of titles you held defined how good you were.

Yeah, I was looking at the IC title history in the last decade. Three people (THREE) held the IC title before stepping up to the WWE or World title in that time frame. The World title started becoming the "stepping stone" title in those years as guys like Bryan and Punk were given a test run with it before their real main event pushes. Until they re-establish the US and IC titles they are worthless. Also, Reigns was tag team champion. His trajectory to the top has almost always mirrored Batista's, who was only tag team champion before he was World champion

I expect Roman Reigns to win the 2015 Royal Rumble just like Batista won the 2005 Rumble.

I have no idea how this works. I don't want Lesnar to lose to Cena if that is indeed the plan for Summerslam.
If that was the case I would have rather seen Cena end the streak...

But roman looks pretty and that's all that seems to matter to Vince. So unless dean gets a Daniel Bryan type over then he's screwed and will be mid card for life.

So much for Bryan or anyone else getting a chance at the belt for a good 2 years.

I am all for Roman Reigns being "The Face of the Company" and having a feud and match with Brock Lesnar, but not at next years Wrestlemania. As everyone has already pointed out Brock winning the title and carrying it until Wrestlemania would be horrible, unless he's willing to work most of the RAW's in that time span and every PPV which I think is highly doubtful. So if he wins at SummerSlam he would then more then likely have to drop the title at Night of Champions which will make him look weak and some of the rub from Reigns being the first guy to beat Brock sense he ended "The Streak" will be lost.Even as a poster stated if a rematch between Brock/Cena goes down at NOC and Rollins case in during the match to make it a triple threat and pins Cena it still makes Brock look weak.
The other issue I have and actually the more important one is Brock isn't the guy to pass "The Torch" to the next big time face of the company. He's a extremely limited dates part timer that isn't the current face of the WWE.The guy that Reigns should be facing for the WWE Title at WM 31 is John Cena.It only makes sense that the current face of the company goes up against the next face and he's the one to pass the "Torch" to Reigns.
Lastly even with their being a triple threat WWE Title match at this years Wrestlemania I would actually favor a Reigns/Rollins/Ambrose triple threat match and main event at WM 31 over Reigns .Vs Brock.

Who in your opinion could take that spot? of #1 face? as in the guy to unseat John Cena? it's tough to say....CM Punk could have, if they actually let him. but he took a back seat to Cena even when he was champ. But Punk has the mic ability that a lot of guys dont. That's what it takes. Bryan still could. He is just too talented, and even casual fans realize it. Cesaro could. He might be the most talented guy in the ring on the current roster. And the man is really good at promos, but he doesn't really get to do it much. However I don't think they (the WWE) see him as a top guy because he's balding and he's not one of their own. Bray, Rollins & Ambrose are all still way too "new"....same with Reigns.... as I'm typing this I just realized something John Cena was WWE champion just about 3 years after his debut. ANYTHING is possible. I like Reigns. I do. But I just don't CARE about him. He's fine, he's decent, does some cool moves. But why should HE be the top guy? What has he done thats so innovative and exciting? The WWE FORCING him into the spotlight is really what's turning me against it. Because it's like they just go "we want Reigns to be the guy so we will" and everyone else gets left behind. So they have the ability to create stars, but they just pick and choose who they want.

I see a TON of Sheamus in Roman Reigns.
he's got a good look, a very WWE-friendly moveset, seems like he's liked backstage, he will regularly be in big matches and all over the merch...
I just don't think he has what it takes to be one of the 'major players'.
He doesn't have that charisma or presence that a lot of the guys you WANT to see in big matches do. He still looks like a deer in the headlights when he's out there with the top dogs.
Maybe 5 years ago he'd have shot right to the top but I think nowadays the bar is just too high.
He'll have his 15 minutes, maybe even carry the title for a bit, but I think management will lose faith in him when they realise he doesn't have the staying power of guys in that same bracket who are just that much better.
I like Reigns I'm just already tired of his schtick and am not keen on seeing him in the title picture. It feels like that kind of wrestler has had it's day. Same reason Batista was shat all over upon his return.

Yeah... I don't like this at all.
I'm still yet to be even mildly impressed by Reigns in a singles match, and his promos haven't been anything special either. He just doesn't do anything for me, and WWE forcing him down our throats (much like with Cena) will have a negative effect, and people will end up turning on him. It's amazing that they still don't realize that people don't just care about whether or not someone has "the look". You can look like Mr. Olympia, but if you can't back it up, the fans WILL turn on you quickly - and how is that good for business?
It sucks that they're so quick to lose faith in Bryan just because he sustained an injury. If ANYONE had/has the potential to be the next "guy", it's him.

Thing is...Dean has both. Roman has none. But roman looks pretty and that's all that seems to matter to Vince. So unless dean gets a Daniel Bryan type over then he's screwed and will be mid card for life. If you watched this weeks raw and the ppv he is well on this way. He's getting louder reactions than Roman and pretty much the entire roster.

I'm open to the idea of him being the top guy. Mainly because I can't picture him playing the underdog like role Cena did for so long.

Bryan was getting crazy pops for like 2 years but it took hijacking a royal rumble and constant boos to everyone. They push who they want and don't usually care about fans.
