Lol. Either you think that the Survivor Series was always meant to be free this year and the six-month commitment was always going to be scrapped in November, or you accept that the network flopping -- which includes the cancellations -- has changed the original plans... Which is an admission that your "people unsubscribing hasn't changed anything" statement was silly. Lack of subscriptions is what's hurting it, not people cancelling. Netflix probably gets a sh*t-ton of cancellations every month (hell I cancelled it last month) but it also gets lots of new subscribers every month. No online service will go six months without having a lot of people cancelling and if you think that, you're very naive.

Yup, nearly 400,000 wrestling fans cancelling -- when it's a niche product that has nowhere near the broad appeal of Netflix, and is thus very dependent on subscriber retention -- hasn't hurt it one bit.

Managed to get it working on my PS4 as well. It's great! Watched the Rumble from '04 last night, great memories. The weird thing is, when I signed up on the website, I used my IOM Debit Card and they accepted it. Also, on the actual app, it shows the schedule in GMT, so they know full well that I'm lying about living in Chicago.
Oh well, I'm just glad that I'll be able to watch Survivor Series this year!

I like how you keep coming back to that because your theory of a Sky Sports WWE being more successful than the WWE Network in the UK has no basis in fact.
The Canadian version of the Network is a big hit, right? Tell me more about that....

Hi guys, after a bit of help. I'm subscribed to teh Network & have a unblock-us subscription, all set up fine. Works a charm on my computer but I can't sign in on the PS3. I go to the unblock-us site & it says everythings set up fine, but when I try to sign in it says, user or password unrecognized. Now I know I'm entering the right details as I've checked over & over, I've tried changing the password a few times & I've uninstalled & reinstalled the app several times. I just don't get what's going wrong & it's really pissing me off now, anyone have any idea?
Cheers

That was with the "Hola" chrome app. Its working ok now but I've been having problems also.

Plays fine on my PS4 and PC, but that's it. I'm starting to think there might be a general issue with the PS3.

Anyone read the article about The Network in this month's FSM? They didn't pull any punches(!) - said it's the biggest failure of Vince McMahon's career and that they've spent tens of millions of dollars literally turning a profitable company into an unprofitable one.
Yikes. They also mention earlier in the mag that if they want profits like they were before The Network launched, they'd need about 1.25 million subscribers... and as we know, they're way off from that. It should be interesting to see what the subscriber number is like during the Royal Rumble to Wrestlemania season... if there's not a significant increase, things could get interesting (in a bad way).

Vince seemed to reckon it was a success on Austin's podcast but a long way from meeting his high standards, I'm assuming that he means content wise etc rather than numbers.

Sounds like it's he same as the US version. You have to sign up on WWE.com, so it'll be interesting to see how you can view it except for on a laptop.

Looking forward to this. Hopefully PS4 etc updates and we can get it on there. Going to be awesome to watch some old school WWE.

Ouch! £9.99 is a lot more than they're paying for it. I'm just going to keep my US account, I think.
