Wrestlezone:
So, this will be Daniel Brian/CM Punk all over again, where it'll pretty much take a ridiculous revolt from fans to get Ambrose anywhere near the main event scene. Sadly, this was to be expected. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I call bulls***. If Dean Ambrose isn't viewed as main event material, then neither should Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, and this is coming from a supporter of Roman Reigns.

He was literally just in the main event two nights ago... and they're making him star in a movie... I wouldn't say they have no faith in him.

Is that not obvious?
I love the guy and he entertains me every week but people treat him wayyyyyyy better than he is and it's dumb to think "Haha yeah it'll all work out, it usually does!"
News Flash folks, it isn't going to at this rate and he will be at a Dolph position in a year.

I have heard people, like my mom who barely watches, she absolutely loves Ambrose. Ambrose has it. I truly think so. He could be a huge star if they let him. Personally, I never saw it with Dolph.

Ambrose isn't a main event level guy. The guy can't carry a company.
He's perfectly fine in a mid-card spot. Maybe upper mid-card, if you wanna split hairs.

I think this is manufactured to get clicks. Until he's bottom feeding on Main Event, I call b.s. on this one.

As a main eventer he doesn't have to carry the company. I think that he's a main event player but we'll just see. People said the same thing about CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.

Why do most people seem to think there are only two spots on the roster: main eventer and perma-jobber? Just because they don't view him as a main eventer doesn't automatically mean he'll be relegated to dark matches and they'll give up on him entirely. Look at guys like Ziggler, The Miz or Barrett. Probably never going to be world champion, but they'll always have a stable place in the upper mid card, and there's nothing wrong with that. Not everybody can be the top guy, and with Ambrose possessing a limited moveset and specializing more in group fights and brawls rather than traditional one-on-one matches I can see why they'd be hesitant.

Agreed on everything, other than the three guys you named. Guys like them went weeks, without being seen... or putting over other talent.

Why do most people seem to think there are only two spots on the roster: main eventer and perma-jobber? Because viewing everything that way makes it easier for them to complain incessantly.

You swear you don't watch and you swear you don't care, but here you are complaining about some stupid Wrestlezone story again. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Dean Ambrose is NOT a main event superstar yet. Although his first singles pay-per-view match was great. And he did just main event RAW. I look forward to WWE "burying" Dean Ambrose by featuring him prominently on WWE programming for years to come. The special on The Shield was awesome too. I can't wait for the special on Slater Gator's road to Superstars.
