Still no sign of Paul Bearer and very limited J.R on the second market. I hate the whole buy 4 figures to build one. I dont want 4 other damn figures i couldnt care less about. Very frustrating and i think Mattel should just start releasing these BAF as a figure to buy on its own. Anyone agree?

The BAF is a great idea, It's fun and gives us collectors something to try and hunt down.

The BAF might be a fun idea for some people but I agree on the fact that it's not cool when you have to buy 4 figures (shelwarmers mainly) to get that one figure you want.

I agree every BAF elite series their is only 1 figure besides the BAF that I really want. Plus they don't need to short pack 1 figure since we have to buy all 4

I think the elite sets have been mostly good, but the basic sets warm hard because they are usually repaints of guys that have several releases out at the time anyway. They should really start thinking about putting better figs in them, maybe even some basic flashbacks that correspond to the BAF in some way. I'd also like to see even case packs in the elite sets, so there is a better chance for customers to complete the figure. I know they are attempting to drive foot traffic but it also frustrates customers and cost themselves sales. Maybe it isn't necessary since we can get Zeb, Heyman and Ricardo as basics and they do just fine, but I like getting the extra elites that would otherwise end up taking slots in the regular line.

I don't mind the elite waves because I would buy them even without the part. I collect basics throughout the year, but the TRU ppv waves seem rather weak. I would probably pass on most if it weren't for the BAF part.

I would rather see them include accessories rather than figures. Maybe 4 pieces that build a bigger accessory or something. It seems stupid to me to waste Jim Ross, Paul Bearer, Heenan and Hart in the BAF line where very few will be able to get him.

I will save my rant for when I know for sure that I have to buy 8 figures I don't want to get jimmy and bobby. That's $80 for each figure so I won't buy them if it's true

I don't like the cost. In the UK, elites are £17.99. BOPPV elites are £24.99... Which works out to 4 x £7 extra for the build a figure.

Nope because we wouldn't get them then. The BAF figures are all figures they feel wouldn't sell at mass retail. So if there's no BAF they aren't releasing them.
They don't feel like it would sell if release it as a 1 per 2 case figure that's why it's a BAF. Because as a TRU exclusive the BAF is produced in much less numbers than a regular line. So as a BAF it's still produced in less numbers than it would be as a mass released 1 per 2 case figure. Maybe some they could put in a 2-pack (Bearer would work with Taker) but JR, Cole and Booker T would have never gotten released if not for the BAF concept.

The BAF is a great idea, It's fun and gives us collectors something to try and hunt down. I agree, except that they should be evenly packed, so there's no incentive to scalp the shortpacked guy(I've never seen Axel yet, my local scalper has sold at least ten of them through his ebay store for $35+ each.). Also, TRU's refusing to offer these online while they've been in stores for months is ridiculous. I love the BaF idea, but TRU is way too exploitative about handling them(which has come back to bite them in the @$$ with all those shelfwarmers.).

i would agree its annoying, plus at this point we arent getting them in a timely manner and the ones that rot , still rot. its almost a lose/lose situation.

Would I like to just by the fig straight up at a reasonable price? Yes. Would it save me time? Yes. Would it save me money? Yes. Do I think it makes sense for mattel to discontinue this promotion? Absolutely not. It is, as they say "best for business."

Instead of scrapping it altogether, they should ditch TRU instead. I'd much rather buy them from Amazon.

I'd even be all for Mattel doing what Hasbro does with the Marvel Legends series and just putting the BAF parts in the regular line.

They shouldn't scrap it. They should release figures that people want in the set (IE: no Del Rio, Sheamus, Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio, Mark Henry) and totally hit it out of the park by giving us decent looking figures (IE: No Jinder Punks).

I don't agree with that at all. they should amend it a little, but its a great idea in theory. They just need to distribute it better (specifically, make sure there are enough of each piece to make the full figure when shipping cases), and stop releasing so many shelfwarmers. I get that its a good opportunity for them to dump their garbage on us, but it obviously isn't working; especially since there isn't always one of each figure in a case.
For both of these reasons there are still piles of old BAF series at various TRUs
