I'd be in agreement with Randy in this one maybe amazon is the way to go. Since there's no TRU's in my country its buy them at a hugely overpriced value on ebay or dont buy them at all

i would agree its annoying, plus at this point we arent getting them in a timely manner and the ones that rot , still rot. its almost a lose/lose situation. This. It's been an abomination.

Instead of scrapping it altogether, they should ditch TRU instead. I'd much rather buy them from Amazon. This. I have yet to find Axel at a TRU to complete my JR. The amount of time, money, and gas I've spent traveling to multiple TRUs looking for these BAFs is far greater than the amount they are worth.

I think it's too expensive.... at $23.99 per figure, it's nearly $100 to get a Jim Ross! And I don't even want the figures in the set!
I'm hoping they have a sale soon.....

What's the OP smoking? BAF series maybe sometimes real slow but have and will continue to give us great figures such as JR, GM Booker T, Vince, Hennan, and Jimmy Hart. My only real complaint is that they're too expensive, especially around where I live they sell for at least 25.99.

I wouldn't mind the build a figure if they were a reasonable price. In the UK it costs an extra £8 to buy a BAF elite so that works out as you have to pay £32 for each build a figure. Ridiculous.

Scrap it for basics, but keep it for elites. The more elites they make the better. What they should do is throw a flashback in there. Yes I know they are already hard enough to find, but it might be a good way to get some additional repaints out of guys like warrior and savage.

With the upcoming Kane BAF I think that's the only set for a baf that I want pretty much all of them, excluding Cena. But I really want Undertakers potentially final match figure, Bryan's big moment of winning the titles, and well... Bray just looks cool. So yeah I can relate with not really wanting all the figures, and I'm pretty young. Don't have that kind a MONAAAAAAAY!

I'd personally rather just pay straight up for the BAF. We are essentially buying the same guys over-and-over again to get the one guy we want to add to our collection. Paul Heyman came in a 2-pack with Brock and I was able to find that with ease. Why can't Paul Bearer come in a 2-pack? This way I only have to have one extra figure, versus 4.
It would be one thing if the 4 figures were all new to the line guys, and Mattel was using the BAF to get people to buy more obscure characters, but they're not. They're releasing repaints of guys I already own. In the one instance they release a new Elite, see Curtis Axel, I can't find the figure anywhere haha. I'm just over the BAF concept, which sucks because I know I'll have to deal with it in order to get Bobby Heenan, a figure I absolutely must have in my collection.

Nope because we wouldn't get them then. The BAF figures are all figures they feel wouldn't sell at mass retail. So if there's no BAF they aren't releasing them. They don't feel like it would sell if release it as a 1 per 2 case figure that's why it's a BAF. Because as a TRU exclusive the BAF is produced in much less numbers than a regular line. So as a BAF it's still produced in less numbers than it would be as a mass released 1 per 2 case figure. Maybe some they could put in a 2-pack (Bearer would work with Taker) but JR, Cole and Booker T would have never gotten released if not for the BAF concept. Now that we've had Ricardo, Zeb and Heyman basics (as well as in upcoming suited HHH) do just fine in the regular lines, this doesn't really hold up anymore. I'm not anti BAF either, but they need to put better figs in the sets, especially the basics.

It doesn't even matter if they make them when you never see the new sets anyways.

I didn't mind the BAF series at all when they actually HIT STORES
but with bearer being delayed. And Kane surely to be delayed (there's no way that'll be here this month) it's starting to get annoying. If anything make these mass retail sets. So we don't have to wait around on TRU to drag their asses.

They shouldn't scrap it, they should repackage it. Everyone knows the issue on the basic side of this.. Build the figure we want, but put out figures that are very bland and unworthy of shelf space minus one or two since inception. My idea for MDT is this...scrap the basic baf, and give us two more elite lines. HOWEVER instead of doing one series of figs from the weak ppvs, they should put out a baf elite set for the big four ppvs. Wrestle mania, summer slam, royal rumble ,and survivors series. Throw in some uncommon and random flashbacks we want and this tru exclusive won't be able to stay on shelves. Guaranteed. But what do I know, I'm just one of the saps that buy the product

I like the concept but every Build a Figure I've purchased has had an issue. I.E. Heyman's arms DO NOT fit in the socket on the torso, so I had to just glue them in and leave Heyman stationary. It sucks. Jim Ross had a deformed leg peg. I don't get it.

I agree with Randy, they really need to ditch TRU for a larger retailer. I would take Amazon or even Walmart. Most TRUs are a mess, and to make matters worse, not everybody has a TRU near them. My nearest one is a 90 minute drive away.
And there's no excuse to shortpack a figure, it's a dick move more than anything. It just says "Hey scalpers! Pick me up! I'm gonna be the hard to find one!" Then people locally can't find that one. Just evenly pack them for gods sake. I hate wasting time at these stores only to find I can't complete a figure (even though I was able to mix-match a JR with Heyman and Ross parts, wrong color or not)
The 4 shelfwarmers are kind of stupid too. I understand repaints are cheaper and thus they're able to add JR's hat or whatever but it doesn't need to be Sheamus and Del Rio everytime.
Can we vote or something for a new BAF? This upcoming Kane is such a waste of a spot. At least I'll be able to save money.

Hell no to Amazon or WalMart. I want to see the figures not order blindly from an online retailer. And my local WalMarts rarely carry WWE except around the holiday reset.
I'll take TRU because I know I will find them eventually and have my choice to pick from. And with the BaF's there really aren't shortpacks, because other case assortments come packed heavier. It has happened with every BAF set released to day. Bret, Christian, HBK, Bryan and eventually Axel were all 1 per case in their waves first assortments, bit all 2 or 3 in the revision cases. Stores want that so you come back and possibly buy other items each visit.
And Ricardo's basic rotted even though he was a kid friendly character at the time. The collectors complained about not finding Zeb because he was shortpacked. And Heyman was in a 2-Pack with Brock and that was the pegwarmer of the wave. With BaF more collectors will get to find the figure as a BAF than they would if he was released in a regular assortment because they would need to be shortpacked. I have never seen a child say "oh I want a Michael Cole" (or a JR, etc) The only way most get released are as a BAF.

I just gave up...I can't win at retail here in Sydney and the prices for JR online have been beyond ridiculous...I can't justify it so I have no choice but to miss out.

They shouldn't get rid of them, instead they should make them be available at other retailers besides TRU
