They aren't bad honestly. The only annoying thing is when all of them keep saying $9.99 repeatedly.

It's awful. I've never liked Jerry Lawler or Michael Cole. JBL has been pooopy since his return.
Go to NXT and Superstars for good commentary.

I hate it. Every time JBL leaves and comes back to commentary, I enjoy him a lot for the first few months he's there, but the longer JBL is doing commentary consequitively, the worse he gets, until it gets flat out unbearable. Right now, the commentary is bad enough to make me want to shut off RAW every week.

yeah I can't stand it either (when I do decide to watch). I'd rather it be like a live show and have the commentary on mute.

You think Renne will get that position one day? She very knowledgable about the product and a great talker. She's pretty bad on commentary, with some practice she could be good though. their commentary leaves a lot to be desired. A LOT Someone mark this day down, you and I actually agree on something. It's a Christmas miracle any team with cole on it does, has, and always will suck. True that, I liked the combo of Heyman and JR, wish they could do that. They aren't bad honestly. The only annoying thing is when all of them keep saying $9.99 repeatedly. Do you listen to it? It's God awful, half the time you'd think it was just casual conversation and not a wrestling show. It's awful. I've never liked Jerry Lawler or Michael Cole. JBL has been pooopy since his return. Go to NXT and Superstars for good commentary. JBL sucks because he's new to the commentary side, so he constantly repeats himself. NXT is okay, wish they'd have Regal on more.

JBL sounds like a nagging woman, Lawler stutters half the time with his one liners... and Cole is just flat out annoying. Lol

They're annoying sometimes but I can deal with them. Tom Phillips has been very good the last couple of weeks on Smackdown though. You're out of your mind. Tom Phillips is garbage!

This isn't anything new. I feel like we get this thread pretty consistently. I honestly don't think even JBL has been very good lately, as he's kind of just fallen in line with the status quo of commentating, which was to be expected I guess. Some times we get a decent banter going but they focus on so little of what is actually happening in the ring. They are supposed to aid in telling the story of the match and most of the time they are talking about replays or sh*t that has nothing to do with anything. I don't like Cole and that isn't going to change though. When your QB sucks the rest of the offense is going to struggle.

JBL is the worse, and this is a perfect example of JBL's commentary.
"Paul Heyman is the greatest manager to come from New York city since Clark Griffith did when he managed the New York Yankees from 1903 - 1908!"
"The Uso's the best brother tag team, since Edge & Christian, Hardy Boys, Dudley Boys and Steve and Shaun Simpson!"
"Luke Harper and Erik Rowan are big and tough! Not a team has big and tough has happened since Ron and I, and before that it was Brody and Hansen!"
Just a lot of yelling, a lot of out dated references, and a lot of useless rambling. JBL can leave the commentary booth any time now.

its getting harder and harder with each week to "tune them out" i dont understand how anyone working for that company can think what they are doing is good. obviously the guys (ColeKingJohn) are being fed lines and reading scripts. because human beings, not acting robots, know how to actually be real and not be a walking ing advertisement/hype man and it explains the fact that they literally tell us the same things about the same guys EVERY week. like it's the first time we are all seeing them.

Hate them. Lawler's stint at commentary has diminished his whole career in my opinion. Just nonsensical dialogue that barely adds to the match presentation.

The commentators are just horrible. Cole is annoying, Jerry says just these ridiculous catchphrases , and I can't stand JBL who says 9.99 or we got ourselves some flying Usos. But so far Tom has been the best out of them all.

I feel sorry for Lawler. He's just a third wheel, reminds me of an out of touch grandpa. He was GREAT as a heel commentator in the mid 90s, and he was good as the color guy to JR in the Attitude Era.
Cole is just a weasel and a mouth piece for Vince. JBL is a jerk and that's why Vince loves him and I can't stand him. He belongs on Fox News.

Behind the atrocious booking of Cena and Triple H over the past decade, the #1 problem in WWE today is the commentary. It's the biggest reason why almost no wrestlers are over, why so many storylines fall flat, and why many of RAW's "big moments" over the past five or so years haven't felt special at all.

I think JBL would make an excellent manager, and if you got him out of the booth than you could replace him with Booker T. The best King and Cole have been in recent years was when Booker was with them.

The only thing I dread is when he's done commentating and gets into the ring. I was really excited for JBL to be back, but now he's the one I dislike the most. It's insulting to the wrestlers in the ring how much they ignore what's going on. On the upside, they are all 100 times better than Rob Bartlett.
