So Shogun got blasted again at the weekend in just 34 seconds - would you like to see him retire now or take a fight that he could win and leave on a high? Regardless I can't help but think he's probably got 1 more fight left in him and is a shell of the man he was in Pride at this stage.

It's kind of tough figuring out what he has left... he looked good against Te Huna - and in the rematch against Hendo until the KO. Against St. Preux though, he rushed in and got caught early. He's certainly nowhere near what he was - but it would still be interesting to see him at middleweight.

I think Shogun can still compete at a high level, just maybe not at 205 anymore. Like SteveHulk said, he looked like the Shogun of old against Te Huna, Hendo with that one H-Bomb has been defying logic for years, so you can give him a pass in that fight because he was winning that fight pretty easily, and he got reckless against OSP. Its not like he's looked like a chump in his losses save for Jon Jones, but guys like Jones and OSP represent the new breed of big 205ers with well rounded skill sets. I've personally always thought Shogun was too small for 205, but it's hard to argue with his success in that division. Another factor is that his knees are shot due to so many major surgeries, and that has taken away a lot of what's made him so dangerous over the years which is his speed. I personally would like to see a trial run at 185 before putting the kiss of death on his career.

I don't even think going to another weight class can help him at this point. He's not doing very well, to say the least and even if he did move to Middleweight, he's so far down in the rankings, who the hell would you put him with??
I think he's done. Time to call it a career.

He's one of my favourites of all time, but he will never be a top guy again. I think he will sit around #10 for the rest of his career (which I can't see lasting more than one or two more fights).
