Not the best card on paper, but I can't wait until the main event... I'm a huge Mark Hunt fan and would LOVE him to win the interim title - it would put the cap on an incredible comeback story. And f it's anywhere near as good as the Hunt/Bigfoot fight, we could be in for a treat... Anyone else watching? Heavyweight: Fabrício Werdum Vs Mark Hunt (for the UFC Interim Heavyweight Title) Welterweight: Jake Ellenberger Vs Kelvin Gastelum Featherweight: Ricardo Lamas Vs Dennis Bermudez Welterweight: Augusto Montaño Vs Chris Heatherly Welterweight: Edgar García Vs Héctor Urbina

Oh yeah, I will be watching for sure. I watch them all, no matter what.
I too, am rooting for Hunt all the way. I hope to see another classic Mark Hunt walk-off KO. Werdum would be stupid to stand and slug it out with Hunt, so I'm sure he will go for the takedown early and try for a sub.
If it stays standing, then Hunt will drop him. But if it goes to the ground, then Hunt is in big trouble. I mean, this is the guy that tapped out Fedor after all and if he's good enough to do that, then he can tap out Hunt.
If it goes to the ground, Hunt better push off and get back to his feet because if he don't, he's in for an early night.
On a side note, there are like 3-fight cards tonight. WSOF (World Series of Fighting), Bellator with Tito vs. Bonnar and UFC #180. Should be a great night of fights.

Right.
Watched the prelims already. Watching WSOF right now, Bellator later. I like Mark Hunt and I want him to win, but three weeks to prepare for a guy with Werdum's skill level, not to mention the time spent training in Mexico at altitude is too much to overcome. I got Werdum by submission or decision.

man, that was a soul crusher. it looked so promising too. he knocked him down in both rounds... the 2nd one he was off balance, but it still counts. the pace was totally at one that hunt wanted, and wouldve thrived at. and then bam... nasty flying knee.

So livid. I feel Hunt could have gone in for the kill at least on the first knockdown. I know about Werdum's flop technique and maybe he was hesitant for that reason, but I feel defeated. I love Hunt with a passion and to see him go from such a dominant showing to getting caught in just a seconds notice is surreal. Seeing him go down is like watching King Kong fall from the Empire state building. Just a terrible thing to see. I thought Dan Henderson losing was tough. I turned everything off and walked away.

And she still wanted to go. I think that's the first time I've seen cauliflower ear explode. (Unless Joe Lauzon's did that one time he was a mess.)
She was game for sure. Jessica Eye though definitely showed tonight, her shots were all on target and she was way faster than Smith.

I know what you mean - I don't think Werdum was really hurt after that first knockdown though... probably more shocked than anything. I actually think Hunt did the right thing by letting him back up and not rushing in to g'n'p - Werdum's a master at luring guys in like this (just look at the Fedor fight - and Overeem refused to have anything to do with him on the ground). Hunt was fighting a really good fight... as he said though, he just didn't see the knee coming and got caught.

yea crazy fight, Werdum is just that good unfortunatly. Hunt was a beast though ..just let him up to many times. i wouldve tried at least once for a GnP. But Velazquez vs Werdum will be good , if it happens.
