Listening to the podcast gave me more insight on how WWE is a not very good workplace. Yes, you can get injuries in the ring, but not being medically treated right by a WWE doctor is scary. Hell, CM Punk could have died and Triple H and Mcmahon couldn't give a damn. T The whole premise of WWE is obviously making money and turning a profit; but not giving a crap about the well being of their performers is sick. Maybe they're doing a better job after Punk left with Danial Bryan and Roman Reigns, but it doesn't change what they did with Punk to begin with. He was right to leave his health was in jeopardy. I don't know if I can even watch WWE the same again, or if I'll ever watch it at all. It's just too ed up. I must have missed the part where he said that? The doctor just misdiagnosed him. It happens every day. I don't think Vince or Triple H ever knew Punk had a life threatening condition. They certainly did not know he had MRSA. And if they did, I'm sure they would have had it treated immediately. It's foolish to act like WWE was trying to kill one of their top talents for poops n' giggles. I mean, it was a BIG misdiagnosis. For a guy that is supposed to be spotting these things, he did a piss poor job of it. He should have at least been able to have figured out it was a some form of a staph infection, as it is a very common diagnosis in sports such as Wrestling. The other doctor just looked at it and was able to figure out exactly what it was.

Finally listened to this from start to finish... when I grow up I want to be CM Punk.
Stuff about Trips coming out of retirement to go over Punk and then immediately go back into retirement was hilarious, but so frustrating to think about.

But that doesn't mean Vince & Triple H were okay with him dying. They obviously didn't know it was a staph infection. That's on the doctor not Vince or hunter. You know I was just thinking... CM Punk can mock WWE's medical staff, but I bet Khali sure is grateful they found his brain tumor in time. And he can ridicule the concussion texts, but Christian, Corey Graves, & Dolph Ziggler are proof that if time is needed, they will give talent time off to properly heel from concussions. If they really ran their test but still weren't sure, it sounds like the tests are inconsistent. They worked for other guys but maybe not always. But they wanted to run more tests and he didn't want to. I must have missed the part where he said that? The doctor just misdiagnosed him. It happens every day. It just flat out sucks.
All of it. From beginning to end. the "bitter" end.
I know never say never in the wrestling business....but with the way CM Punk is has and always will be....we'll never see him in a WWE ring again. and that saddens me...A LOT. more than any other wrestler besides HBK & Austin and even those guys still come around once and awhile.
god damn it im gonna miss Punk...i mean, i already do...but it's pretty much a done deal now.

I'm sure he was a bit more upset about the staph infection that could have killed him. He has every right to mock the medical staff after that. But how many people everyday get second opinions from other doctors? If I get hurt at work I go through their protocol. Which also includes drugs tests. And if their doctors can't find anything, and I know something is wrong, I'd simply make an appointment with another doctor. So how hard would it have been for Punk to call up an outside doctor and make an appointment sooner? Nobody told him he had to wait 3 months to go to another doctor. Even then, WWE doctors told him it was just a fatty deposit, which could have gotten him killed. WWE Doctors were still completely ignorant to him, whether he got a second opinion or not.

The "Oh, you're not a draw" thing is so damn true. "How do you know I'm not a draw if you don't give me a chance?"

loved the podcast and it was everything I expected from Punk.
I can't help but admire the fact that he is in such a happy place now and at the same time upset that he has no passion left for a business he once loved.
Oh and I loved how he would get into different voices when quoting someone...his Triple H and Ryback were spot on!

Wanna steer clear of the controversy; I'm happy for Punk for airing his grievances and all that. As long as he's happy with his decision I could care less considering the stuff he's given us.
I will say this though: WWE missed a massive opportunity by not billing Kane as "the man who ended CM Punk's career." (Obvious Joke)

Sour grapes. I think I'm the greatest ever And they don't. Sour grapes. I'm an bunghole that barely anyone liked. Sour grapes. Peoe didn't like me because I was disrespectful. Sour grapes. More sour grapes. I never main evented WrestleMania. Sour grapes. Concussion tests. Staph infections. Sour grapes. Ryback is on steroids. Sour grapes. Triple H. Sour grapes. That's basically what I'm getting out of this. He literally bashed the company that made him rich and famous and some of you are so far up his ass that you're bashing that same company that you at least do one or more of the following: watch weekly, subscribe to the network, go to shows, buy merchandise. He's gone. He doesn't want to come back. Wwe won't take him back. After what he's said being as they actually never really liked him, we won't see him again. I'm okay with it. He was really good. I was a fan at one point. Some consider him the greatest and that's absolutely laughable. He's nowhere close. But when you think of yourself so highly, and the ratings and ppv buys never really showed it after his "pipe bomb" he's 100% all sizzle and no steak. Looking back I can see that. At the time I was drinking his kool aid, but once I stopped I woke up quickly. CM Punk is the Jim Jones of wrestling. Have a happy retirement and marriage and life, but as far as wresing goes, off. And I'm sure I'll get quoted on this by Punk fanboys and that's fine, this will be my only post in this thread. My final conclusion: CM Punk is the true bitch I've been saying he was all year long. This is all obviously my opinion but him and his gullible and naive fans.

This is all obviously my opinion but him and his gullible and naive fans. It's fine if you don't respond to this, but I'm not some gullible or naive fan. Since the beginning I've maintained a stance that I wouldn't fully judge until I knew more. This is still just one side of the story and I'm sure the full truth lies in the middle. Punk should take a lot of blame for stuff, like getting his own second opinion on things. I don't know if you actually listened to this but it's much clearer than reading about it. I don't think he's the greatest, but I also think it's laughable that you consider The Undertaker the greatest. Nothing against him, I just don't think he's the very best ever. Not comparing them, as obviously Taker is closer but still. The WWE would take him back. Vince wants to make money and he buried the hatchet with Bret and Warrior, so he'd do it with Punk. I don't think Punk is a bitch for leaving in January. He was hurt, you have to heal. From the way it seemed, Triple H and Vince let him go and he didn't quit. Yes he has sour grapes about not main eventing WrestleMania. DUH. It's his holy grail. Why should he settle for the mid-card of the show every year? punksnotdead said it best. What satisfies one man, doesn't satisfy the other. Punk wanted the main event of the biggest show and I can't blame him. He was the SINGLE BEST THING about wrestling in 2011 and 2012, but couldn't main event 28 or 29. I understand they had the Rock/Cena thing to do, but still. Nothing anyone says is going to make you change your view on him being a bitch and vice versa though.

He knew it hurt like hell, so there's no reason not take a few hours and have it checked out from another doctor. Hundreds of doctors make misdiagnoses every day, so why risk it?

They screwed Punk from the word go, and it appears that they screwed him till the bitter end. Also, it's no revelation that Ryback is unsafe - the bloke's rubbish and always will be. Had CM Punk been handled correctly in the Straight Edge Society and after that, he should've had the main event in WrestleMania at 27. Not The Miz, who is a small fry when compared to Punk even. I get what your saying, as Rock and Cena are above his paygrade and I understand that. But Punk was disrespected back then even, when he was the most over heel in the company and the SES was broken up. He was then put into Nexus for some stupid reason, but he even made that work. Instead of putting him against the top good guy at WrestleMania, Miz was positioned over him. Yes, Miz was doing fine work and I liked his stuff then, but Punk should have main evented a WrestleMania over him, no doubt. I'm not saying he didn't deserve to main event Mania, it just didn't happen because of timing and other factors and he has to accept that. If they were going to change their original plan, just to shoehorn him into the match with Rock and Cena, then it wouldn't have been fair on the other guys on his paygrade. They just as well have made it a 6 pack challenge if they were doing that. If he hadn't left, he'd have main evented Mania eventually. Not even the top guy necessarily gets to main event Wrestlemania, Bret didn't in WM11 or WM13. Cena didn't last year. It's all about timing. Could you stop repeating the same old crap about "timing" and "paygrades"... when it came to main-eventing 'Mania, they screwed Punk over and you, and everybody else with a clue, knows it.

Had 29 been a triple threat, we would've ended up with another Cena vs Rock, as triple threats aren't ever considered clean victories. 28 had Cena vs Rock was advertised as the main event before Punk had the title. 27 was his only shot at being in the main event and he would have just been a a stepping stone.
