Sounds like the delusional ranting of a bitter and self loathing individual. No one can ever take away how skilled he was inside the ring and gifted on the mic. But he is delusional to say some of the things he did. He can claim he was "fired" and its possible that he actually was. But dont act like it had nothing to do with you WALKING out of the company. You walked out....you were fired. Quit/fired...who cares. YOU walked out. YOU were fired. End of story. But nice try at twisting the truth. Who's to say his story ISN'T the truth? The truth generally lies in the middle somewhere. I dont doubt a lot of what he said was true. But I also dont doubt that he is carefully positioned himself as a martyr.

I think this all boils down to do you view the glass half full or half empty? Punk seems to be a half empty kinda guy more often than not. Especially when it comes to wrestling. Personally I love Punk. And I think Punk should have Main Evented a Mania, but I wouldn't go as far as to say he was ever mistreated. Yes, he may have lost some matches he should have won, but he was also given a victory over all three Shield members. And I think most can agree he shouldn't have won that. Nobody should ever win a 3 on 1. But I didn't hear him complain about how that hurt the Shield's stature to the fans though. Yes he was misdiagnosed, but I highly doubt it was intentional. As I've said, it happens everyday to thousands of people. I do agree that the company relies on Cena too much. And expect too much from him. And he should be given someone to help carry the workload. And IMO Punk was the perfect choice. But unfortunately as we've learned over the past ten years, nothing we say or do is going to change Vince's mind. I also would like for Punk to have defeated Rock but we all know that wasn't gonna happen. Cena was the only one gonna do that. But for all we know, that may have been the Rock's decision? As I've said we only know a portion of the story. Problem is there are those who can sit back and look at this objectively. And then there are those who are using this as just another reason to aimlessly bash the WWE. You don't think that being forced to work through serious injuries and being forced to come back just days (and in one case hours) after having surgeries is mistreatment? Nevermind WrestleMania and how he was used during his time in the WWE, that's all a matter of opinion. Vince McMahon and his "doctors" basically laughing off numerous concussions is a serious problem. Then forcing anyone to work when they can't move their arm because their elbow has locked up is a serious problem. Calling someone back to work the day that have any kind of surgery is a serious problem. These are the things that should be discussed in this thread. As WWE fans, your money supports, endorses and condones this behavior. I think you all need to think about that.

First off, we have only heard Punk's side of the story. There are always two sides to a story and neither are usually 100% accurate. Second off, I was not referring to the medical side of things because (Try to follow along) I'm not a doctor. And I have a sneaking suspicion nobody else here is either. And instead of sounding like an idiot pretending to know, I admit I know nothing and was speaking purely about the wrestling side of things. And finally, besides Punk, we've never heard anyone say anything negative about the current WWE medical staff. So while many are automatically taking Punk's word as 100% gospel, I am keeping an open mind.

"We continued to pull our singles together so we can give this lady cash to get a ing hotdog for my wife....." That sounded much funnier to me than it maybe should have.

I've listened to this podcast two or three times... stories like this are really fascinating to me.
I tend to believe that Punk's side of the story is probably about 90-95% accurate. He seems, to me, like one of the most reasonable people in the world.

There have been many stories told from former WWE/WWF wrestlers about the toll on their bodies and having virtually nothing done about it. The medical aspect of Punk's story wasn't new information. It has never been told in that amount of detail before, but it's nothing new. When multiple people keep telling the same story over and over again for decades, there's probably something to it.

Scale of 1-10... how loud will the CM Punk chants be during the next Ryback match?

I was chiming in on the discussion of whether or not Punk was booked poorly or not. I'm not a doctor and I don't pretend to know the details like so many others are. If you need me to post that all in larger text let me know.

I believe one thing he said.... "WWE doesn't do anything to protect the wrestlers, they do things to protect themselves" a lot of wrestlers must be ing up because we've seen many disappear from your TV screens. I actually think Cesaro is being punished for his Orton vs Cena comment.

Personally I think that Yoshi Tatsu was booked poorly, did that make it a fact? No. The issue should be the lack of medical support wrestlers face and the pressure that is put on them to work when they are hurt. That is far more important than their spot on any card and you being a dick isn't going to change that.

But I also dont doubt that he is carefully positioned himself as a martyr. There is some truth to this. After multiples studies, it has been concluded (not necessarily proven) that our minds warp our memories as time goes by, especially when a memory evokes an emotional response. With that said, I don't believe 100% of the story is true, but I do believe the gist of it. I don't believe Ryback was trying to hurt Punk, nor do I believe the McMahons wanted to either. The McMahons understood they were lacking star power, which is why they were probably reluctant to give Punk time off. Ryback was probably in a state of "great, I was pushed to the top just to plummet." I doubt we'll hear the side of the story from the McMahons unless this is to go to court.

Okay, brace yourself and sound it out... >>>My comment you quoted was not based off the medical part of the interview<<<There were people talking about the booking of Punk. I know it's a matter of taste and opinion and I GAVE MY OPINION BECAUSE OTHERS WERE GIVING THEIRS! THAT'S THE POINT OF A FORUM. IF THE TOPIC WAS ABOUT YOSHI TATSU THEN I WOULD HAVE GIVING MY OPINION ON HIM TOO. AND AT NO POINT DID I CLAIM MY OPINION WAS FACT. HENCE THE MY TWO CENTS PIC AT THE END. YOU MAKE NO SENSE AND NEED TO GO AWAY.

Just finished listening to Chris Jericho's podcast with Seth Rollins. Jericho asked Seth how the Shield idea got pitched. Seth did admit that nobody told them who's idea it was, but that they were initially going to be Punk's security force, and talked about the Ryback botch with Punk on Raw. Seth said because of the botch, Punk wasn't able to work TLC, which is why they were in a feud with Team Hell No.
So, Punk did tell the truth and didn't exaggerate on that. That's really interesting. I wonder how The Shield would've turned out with Punk as their leader.
