Pffft Torontonians complaining about a lack of PPV's. We've only had one here and that was almost 11 years ago as well we should.. Toronto was a massive hot bed of wrestling in the 80s and early 90s.. far far greater than wherever you live (didnt check)...the way that WWE has basically told Toronto FU over the past 5 years is pretty bs...we had a constant 2 Raws a year, and a few PPVs.. but the last 5 years, i think its been 1 Raw, 1 smackdown and just house shows....also No PPV in 8.5 years... I attribute all of this to The Rock... that guy coming back to the WWE screwed us in Toronto.. we had WM28 all locked up for 2012...i use to audit the Toronto Blue Jays back in 2010, and they had the signage up inside the Rogers Centre, and i would talk to the marketing department for the Rogers Centre all the time because they knew i was a big wrestling fan and how happy we were that they were gonna have WM again after 10 years.. the guys in advertising even had logo's drawn up that they were gonna present to WWE to use for the WM28 logo and such... man, those were some good times working there..

I have to agree. It's been way too long since we held a ppv here in Toronto. As for wrestlemania, as much as I want it to happen I don't see them bringing it to Toronto anytime soon. They seem to want these massive stadiums that hold 80 000 people. Next year in Dallas they are projected to fit over 100 000 people In that arena. I think the skydome could hold about 70 000 so I guess its not out of the question. You also have to factor in how weak the Canadian dollar is at this time. Have to wait and see I guess. It can hold around 65 000 people jam packed with no room to breathe. But can I just say that I am pretty sure I know the reason that Vince McScam doesn't want to bring Wrestlemania to Canada in general. It's because he is trying to set the attendance record in all of the big stadiums before the Super Bowl gets there. That just proves how out of touch he is. In his pathetic attempt to make the WWE feel mainstream (which it isn't in any way) he has to try to compete with the NFL!! Are you serious? Wrestlemania 30 had around a Million people watch. The Super Bowl had around 130 million. So can the guy please just retire and bring something back to Canada. Not that the WWE will ever beat or come close to the viewership or popularity of the NFL / Super Bowl... you cant really compare a PPV that costs $75USD in HD (say WM29, pre network era) vs. Superbowl, which is on FREE TV...

I can almost guarantee that if the roles were reversed and Mania was free and the superbowl was $75, the Super Bowl would still get 3 times as many viewers as Wrestlemania.

That's crazy! I had no idea they were actually putting together a campaign for mania. I know lots of people were speculating that we would get 28 but I had no idea that they actually went that far. It would be nice to get a mania back on the east coast. Philly is rumoured for 33.

Man that sucks! After all that, they pulled the rug out from under us and forgot about us ever since. Geez. Still a Rock fan though.

I remember hearing that there were ads on the tvs at the Rogers Centre around Mania 27 that the next years was ours or at least the city would make a push for it, shame they didn't go trough with it. I am! I hope they announce the next time they will be here. Hoping for at least a Raw taping later on in the year! Be sure to let us know if they announce anything my guess is that they will return in the summer or in September so they don'the kill the market like last year. let's hope we get a good autograph signing in a few weeks!

Is this the walmart on North Queen near the Sherway Gardens? I sure hope so because I'm planning to hunt west of Toronto today. It's actually the Rexdale Walmart (on Islington, just north of the 401). Hope you get what you need! Thanks again for this tip.. I had dinner at Tucker's Marketplace tonight, which was 5 mins away from this Wal-Mart. I went and checked it out and was able to get E32 Rey Mysterio. What's funny is that it was on the floor hidden underneath the very bottom shelf!

They had a Sin Cara, two Daniel Bryans and a Cody Rhodes; however, as I left the wrestling section, someone went and got Sin Cara and one of the Bryans. Just in case you're interested, the Cody Rhodes was also hidden underneath the very bottom shelf.
