but a poll is only going to reach the number of people that actually vote and what's stopping someone from voting a hundred times for their own personal favorite? online polls are a tool for marketing, yes, but to base any real decisions on them without a MASSIVE turnout would be foolish. these guys are contacting indy workers and well-known wrestling talent that still are active at shows and conventions in an effort to sell figures. they aren't going to go after a guy like scott norton who doesn't wrestle anymore and i dont even think does any wrestling conventions. so who are they gonna sell his figure to? 10 guys on this board? this isnt a guessing game of who collectors want to see...it's an effort to get wrestling figures out of guys who are on the indies and "legends" of the industry who are able to also buy & sell their OWN figures of themselves. I think that the whole strategy works well, my friend does a ton of indy shows in the UK and is always selling a ton of figures at the shows and it would be awesome for a little kid to see a guy and then be able top take his figure home and play with it. These are also aimed at the older collector who wouldn't think twice about spending $20 or so on a figure.

Also remember just because we want certain guys doesn't mean they can get them. I have a dream lineup just like anyone but I don't think the company will be able to get everyone. ECW guys are a good hook to start but I don't want them forever...however there are also other people mentioned that would be just as so-so. Scott Norton or Alex Wright would not do well IMO. Also remember these are guys still active on indies and at shows and they said a goal was not just to "make figures" but give these guys some new merch to sell. A guy like Stan Hansen may do well but its risky because he's not active in promoting or selling his figure like a Myers or Compton etc. We saw with JAKKS that older legends can be hard to move Obviously you and I have different opinions, and a third person will disagree with both of us, hence the reason for a poll. I'm not talking about a poll that lists a thousand dream names, just people with whom they've been in contact with who have shown interest in signing a deal. Just because one guy in charge of the line is a fan of wrestling himself doesn't mean he can read the minds of thousands of consumers. And just because twitters vocal minority says they want a blue meanie figure doesn't mean that it will predict the success of said figures sales. The type of poll I'm referring to is the same kind of research that all companies, big and small, use. And instead of paying people to be a part of focus groups, they can collect the same data for free by way of an online poll. I agree everyone is entitled. I think they're doing a good job. 4 major ROH names, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and finally a new Cornette were huge to me. Blue Meanie first figure is cool also. Then you have the guys who push merch nonstop like Myers and Compton. A guy like Scott Norton would flop outside of a select few. He doesn't do shows and isn't active online etc. Most fans prob forgot him by now. He would cash his check, the company would sit on stock, then probably not bother signing anyone else. Let them get these guys that can move their own figures first make money that way then maybe worry about others. I want ti see more figures not have this be it! There's a reason Mattel isn't making a ton of the 80s guys or WCW guys so why would a company that is smaller risk their money?

None of those guys should still be active on the indies or they'd just be in the Indy line. I'm pretty sure the point of the legends line and them being ra style is for these legends to fit in with the classic superstars line that jakks made the most popular line of wrestling action figures ever. Norton belongs in the line more than whipwreck and blue meanie and would appeal to cs collectors more than those two. A poll would better prove that. Polls aren't perfect but they're better than one guys gut feeling or a few tweets. There are plenty of safeguards to curb spam voting on online polls and they can easily reach more people any single form of social media. They're currently not doing any research that we know of so I don't get why anyone would shoot down the idea of a poll as compared to the nothing that they are presently doing. If nothing else it could be used as supplemental data to be combined with the tweets and gut feelings that they've so far been basing all their decisions off of.

I take Legends to be their version of the CS line. They can do anyone up to the mid 90s and it makes sense.
I understand why it doesn't get mentioned a lot here or why some people might not care, but to me the company is doing it right. Pay attention to their social media. I read their reddit posts and their guy has gone into detail on their ideas and what they'd like to do in the future. I like this place but its all secondhand info unless you go to the source thats why I recommend the podcasts etc. Social media is better than a poll because you can track people's reactions. People are going nuts for the Blue Meanie and every single guy they have signed pushes the company on their own accounts that is a huge reason why this will succeed IMO
There are plenty of figures I want to see but face it we have to be realistic. They are not a billion dollar toy empire like Mattel and we are getting some cool figures we may have never seen. Some guys might just never get made

Some guys might just never get made Do you think that Mikey whipwreck and blue meanie would have ever been considered for the cs line and belong in any legends line? Regarding a poll, the link could be posted on their social media sites, their official site and in forums like this and the reddit. Truth be told, this here is the largest community of wrestling action figure collectors anywhere on the net and they have no presence here at all(not sure if that's by choice or not). There's isn't a fifty page thread anywhere else on the net all about this line. Still, people on the Mattel and jakks board don't even know this line exists. So, I don't think they're doing the best job possible as far as gathering data from their potential consumer base and a simple poll could go a long way. At the end of the day, if nothing else it's more data which is never a bad thing.

So this thread is just going to be "No, I don't want that guy, I want this guy?" Fun.

Whipwreck might not have been but the company also said they want to grab some names as first timers. As far as the company coming here why would they come to a site where we can barely talk about their toys or their name is spam? Pretty obvious RSC wants to keep them away from here.

It's very clear why they should want to come here and I already eluded to it, because this is the single largest community of wrestling action figure collectors anywhere to be found and that's who their target consumer is. I think blue meanie would have been top three worst guys in the cs line along with Zeus and tank abbot.

Blue Meanie would have been an awesome CS. We got a "JOB Squad" Al Snow ffs. The Classic line was about VARIETY not just 20 shawn michaels & undertaker figures. There were SOOOO many guys made, and thats what made it awesome. I'd be willing to bet Jakks would have made Meanie if they were still going. I'd rather have a figure of The Blue Meanie than of Scott Norton x100000000000

It alone would not have qualified him for a spot in the cs line. His overall career accomplishments did. Blue meanie's career is comparable to that of tank Abbott and bastion booger. He might have made the line only if they were really running out of guys to make. Scott flash Norton was a big star in Japan and an integral member of the nwo. I'd take any nwo guy over any bwo guy but to each his own. I have nearly every cs made (skipped on a some repaints but have every unique character and duplicates of anyone that got a different head scan). With that said, it's doubtful I'll be getting meanie. Take that for what it's worth.

Bastion Booger was just as big of a star as Norton. Top heel in Stampede wrestling for years followed by a memorable WCW run in the late 80s/early 90s.
I wouldn't call Norton an integral member either. He was a tag team guy in the B group. Japan is where his name means anything.

Remember all the fantasy feds? I liked getting the guys that were no longer with WWE for that purpose. Zeus and Tank Abbot were actually awesome figures (especially after I put some MMA shorts and a leather vest/jacket on Tank). These wrestling figures will not be mass produced for retail like with Jakks. There will be a good number produced.....but I predict like this company's other toy lines (retro superhero) figures....once a figure is sold out it will be "retired", Making them even more valuable down the road. There are many advantages to these being sold in-house and exclusively online for collectors. There will be no "peg warmers" because as I stated, they are not mass produced (and there are no pegs LOL) it also means that retailers are not dictating to the toy company which figures to manufacture (like a million John Cena's or Roman Reigns) we will be getting a nice variety of figures. Finally, if a few figures "bomb" (such as Cliff Compton) there will be a figure such as Kenny Omega that will sell out and make up for the loss. That being said, I do believe the ROH and indy lines will do better than the Legends Line. There are only a few figures from the past I would be interested in getting ( Vampiro, Hakushi, Patriot, Ahmed Johnson, Dory Funk, Jimmy Jack Funk).

He was one figure that alluded me in WCW's final figure line along with Mike Awesome and Shane Douglas.

I have seen several requests for Raven. Jakks already did a Raven. He was in the TNA legends line.

I want all the same guys as you and probably plenty of other guys you'd not be interested. I'm all for obscure guys. I was a big proponent for the shockmasters of the cs line, but that was because they had covered most of their bases with main event talent. This company is leading off with guys of that caliber which is a bit dissatisfying but maybe they just can't get the Ahmed johnsons of the world to sign on and blue meanie is the amongst the biggest stars the line will feature. If that's true though, I'll be disappointed and it'll be hard to refer to it as a legends line.

Blue Meanie is kinda cool but I feel like they should try to get a big name to make a splash What "big splash" do you mean? These figs will be sold online only or at the booth of the talent self! They WON'T show up in regular stores, they WON'T be mass produced!
